Here's an answer. The members of the military don't care one whit who sits in the White House. They take an oath to support and defend the Constitution and to obey the orders of the President. It doesn't matter what political party that President belongs to. I served under seven Presidents. From both parties.

Your question has no relevance and place in the military section because the United States of America is not a "banana republic", even though there are a lot of uninformed civilians out there who try to politicize the armed forces.
If you look at history, you will find that it's a rarity for a party to follow itself into the White House ! The job of being successful after eight years in office is a rarity and people will change simply for the sake of change. GWHB following Ronald Reagen into the White House was highly unusual, and it speaks volumes of Reagen as president !
Voters are looking for a better way, yet they rarely find it with change! So, we go through the cost and the pains of finding a better way and never really find it !
It does not matter which party's candidate is in the White House as long as the country can get out of this hell. There have been good Republicans and Democrats too. I do not think people should vote according to what party they favor, they also need to vote for the right candidate and that does not necessary depend on the party.
