give the guy a break hes just being honest , no that dose not mean that .Its because so many people do not know their status or lie about it that hes being cautious and in rare cases it can take hiv 10 or more years to show up so be glad you have someone care about their health
Its pretty normal, and a good thing, anybody who is sexually active should get tested yearly. Just in case. I wouldn't worry too much unless there is other evidence of cheating.

It sounds like he wants to take care of himself and has a good health practice. As a HIV trainer and educator I tell everyone to be tested at least once a year for good health. So be glad he is that honest about testing. It is good.

even if you have sex once a year with the same person its always smart to take an aids test every year. You cant control what that other person does or whom theyve slept with. You can get aids the first time you have sex. Aids does not care about you are, how many times you have sex, how old you are, what you lifestyle is, etc.
I think that you can be infected and it not show up for years. I saw a girl on Maury that had slept with an HIV positive man and she had to be tested yearly for 10 years....scary stuff...
