OKAY, so clearly tattoos hurt and clearly it will depend on the person but I'm getting a tattoo soon and I'd like to know where the least painful spot was for YOU. I don't want my first tat to be in the most painful place.
P.S im not down for the whole lower back tatto because everyone and their mom has one, so other than that
never had one, i'm a kid. but i'm smart enough to know it should be somewhere you can hide it.
i got one on my hip and it wasnt too bad, but try to avoid places where there is a lot of bone because that is where it generally hurts the most.
Good luck!
Nowhere!
i got a butterfly on my left shoulder. It didnt hurt at all. Maybe a little because it's a tattoo, but other that that, it was ok.
upper , outside arm was least painful for me
The one on my hand was least painful, but I would NOT recommend that for a first tattoo. My ankle was pretty easy I guess.
Don't let the thought of the pain stop you from getting a tat in the exact spot you want it. Sure, it hurts, but it is over quickly, and, if you put it anywhere other than 'the perfect spot', all you are doing is buying yourself a regret.
Good luck! ♥
dont do a tramp stamp! do one on inside your hip bone. I am SO bad with needles but I got my first tattoo on my left shoulder just above the blade and it really wasn't that bad. It's not really sharp pain but more of just an aggravating scraping feeling. It only hurt a little when they got closer to the bone.
I like having a tattoo there because I can show it off easily but most of the time it is hidden.
Good luck!

on your forehead...something that says everyone has one now I have one too
Hey,
What you feel is what you get... So Where ever you feel less painful you try to make it there. Coz no one can change other's feelings.
It hurts no matter where you get it. Shoulderblade is probably your best bet.
not on the foot, anywhere with lots of fat, sounds weird, but it's less painful....it's supposedly hurts a lot on the neck
Least painful tat I got was around my calf. Not to bad.
it depends on if you want everyone and their mom to see the tattoo? i have one on my right hip. it didn't hurt at all. It actually kind of tickled. But i also got mine someonewhere where noone else would be able to see it. i have friends that have small ones on the inside of their wrists they said they didnt hurt that bad and others on their foot.
I have a few, the least painful was actually on the outside of the calf of my right leg. It had to be covered not once but twice, which is usually murder, but it never hurt. If you're worried about the visual location then anywhere that has more "padding" is gonna be better. Stay away from the ankle area, and NO top of foot tattoes for first one. Usually if you go to a higher quality tat shop the artist can be very helpful advising you where the design you have may fit best. But it is only a suggestion, this is your skin and your body, so you pick Carp Tattoo by =xcorvus on deviantART:: Sep 30, 2008 A tat design for Darius. One of many. Its an overdone cliche tat idea, I would also recommend, and this is something I do a lot, http://xcorvus.deviantart.com/art/Carp-Tattoo-99464792HOME | Pattaya Mail - Pattaya's First English Language Newspaper:: “TAT wants Canadians to discover Thailand, its unique culture, traditions, and the friendliness and will definitely recommend Pattaya to her clients. http://www.pattayamail.com/503/travel.shtmlHOME |
Good Luck!!
Personally I think that you should decide where you want your tattoo to be placed and get one based on that rather than what will hurt the least. But that is just my opinion and it does not answer your question. Places on your body that have more mass and less bone will hurt less. Probably the least painful place to get a tattoo is the outside of your upper arm. Other places would be your butt, thigh, shoulder blade, and your chest. And I agree, PLEASE do not get the lower back tramp stamp. Haha.
Well i got mine on my hip...its not visable to everyone only to me. Cause a simple bikini covers it. But it did hurt but not as bad as some peoples. Bascially the more body fat in that area the more its going to hurt.
depends on how big this tat is.....the wrist or between your shoulder blades....
well i have one running down my ribs which was probably my most painful then the one on the side of my neck then the one on the back of my ankle least painful neither of them really hurt me but i have a really good pain threshold
good luck
None of my tats unbearably hurt... It all depends on the person.
They say that where you have soft skin, it hurts more... but they say that when there is a bone underneath for the needle to hit, it hurts more. So, you never know.
My first tattoo was on my Bikini line, and it felt like bad razor burn. My wrists didn't hurt too bad, and my neck... well, like I said, it is all about how you handle pain.
The best advice that I could give you is to talk to your artist before hand and ask him/her to take breaks often. That will give you a chance to breathe and for the area to stop hurting. It hurts worse when they go over the same area without a break for a long period of time. You could also pop 2-3 painkillers beforehand, which will numb your pain receptors and make the whole thing into a breeze.
Good luck!
shoulder blade(s) or between them. Ankles are least painful!
my least painful was on my feet.
Ankles were the worst for me. The easiest spot was the back of my neck. Felt like I was being tickled!
On the butt
I have a question about ♥tattoos♥?
Where to get a tatoo...?
