You can check out liquor stores, super markets, discount wine stores, warehouse outlets, and online services for the best prices on wine. However, price is not everything when it comes to value. There are many old vintage wines available for a fraction of their value; probably because they have not been properly stored. You might as well mix Ripple and vinegar if the price seem ridiculously low. The best place to buy quality wine is a reputable liquor store that specializes in fine wines. You may pay a little more but quality is what you seek in a fine wine. Drinkable table wine may be purchased anywhere it is sold, unless there is no air conditioning.
At a winery or wine-tasting.
You get to sample before you buy and you pay less because the wineries don't have to pay shipping and distribution fees.
Of course you have to find/wait for one.

PA has it's State Stores and NY has many good warehouses.
If buying on line it's easy to find outlets that ship almost anywhere in USA. (some States do not allow wine to be shipped in)
