I am sure you have heard the longer version, but my cousin's sons name is Westin, which i think is adorable!!!!! And west can be for short.

I like the names Westley and Weston better because the feel more complete and are generally more accepted as names in the US. It could be cute as a nickname but West sounds like a surname to me :)

Honestly, I like it, but I would have to know the last name in order to give a definitive answer. For instance, if the last name is only one syllable, it probably won't sound as good than it would with multiple syllables.
