You're not onto something. Computers stop processing information when they're switched off. So do brains when people die, and a consequence of that is that consciousness stops. We've not figured how to switch a human back on yet.

Don't know it has never happen and people who i know that died,never came back to tell me.
Personally, I think everything just goes black. Just like when you fall asleep.
It's rediculous to think that you will spend eternity in either eternal bliss or damnation just because of what you did in your little time alive.
i think it's like flipping a light switch or pulling a plug. no remaining energy. just the shell of our body left to rot and nothing left of us but the memories we leave our friends and loved ones and the mark we might've left on others.

I honestly think we're just dead. I mean, if there is some kind of afterlife, or that we go to heaven or hell, don't you think that at least ONE person since mankind existed could come back and let us know for sure? If there is a God, Why the big guessing game? Just let ONE person come back and reassure us that there IS an after life, so there isn't any questions in any ones mind.
I think we go to a place like Heaven and we are made to watch our lives on a big TV screen and see where we went wrong.
I am afraid than when other people go to 'Heaven' they will get to watch what I did wrong and I am scared of people finding out my secrets.
I think you get a few chances to put yourself right before being kept in 'heaven' or 'hell'
but then again I also believe in reincarnation...

Death is a horrible horrible reality that everyone will eventually be forced to face. I personally believe that when death gets me at the end of my life I will take birth again. Depending on what I have and haven't achieved in this life will affect what I become next time round...
I think we stop living....I dont know yet though...lol

I used to be afraid of dying because I thought (when I was a kid) that when you died, everything went black, you couldn't see, hear, move, think... You were just THERE... (*sort of like your "nothingness theory*)
Now, I am told that there is heaven and there is God. Do I think that's what happens? I don't know. I think I'll eventually see my family that has died, I don't know when though.
I have my own question: I don't understand how God could have always been there and will always be... everything HAS a beginning... doesn't it?
Also, if the universe ends (it might, we just can't get that far), what's on the other side?
