Is it sore? If its sore its not syphilis. Syphilis initially presents with a painless ulcer at the point of infection, usually the genitals. Vigorous sex or even masturbation can cause an injury like you describe, so it could be nothing. Get yourself checked by your doctor to be on the safe side.
And syphilis is curable with medications. Early stage syphilis responds very well to 10-14 days of penicillin treatment, but late stage syphilis is associated with irreversible damage.
