All courts in Britain have a gallery that is open to the public for
free, although sometimes a judge will decide that all or part of a
case is to be heard in private rooms. There will usually be a list of
cases being heard that day in the entrance lobby.
The Old Bailey is the Central Criminal Court in London which gets many
of the famous trials, and this is probably the most interesting one to
visit. It is on the corner of Newgate Street and Old Bailey, EC4 and
functions 10.00-13.00 and 14.00-16.00, Monday to Friday.

because places are limited and queues can be long if there is a trial
