Read practically any article on PES2008 and you wil know that the main that reviews for PS2 Version is very good and PS2 include more stuff then PS3.

I played for 2 days and got bored of it, went back to FIFA....
-horrible graphics for a PS3 game
-master league, they added new stuff like player interviews but it doesnt affect the game at all
-no english stadiums
-editing mode is very limited
-game play feels like you are playing hockey, too fast
-annoying music
-the menues, look horrible like a ps1 game
Konami really missed the boat this year, I was expecting more from them

awful, On my hd the whole pitch does not load properly its a very poor regarding No#1 PES2008 & FIFA-08 - which was on PsP, PS2, PS3 & Xbox-360, guys,

however I saw the PS2 version and its good, so looks like konami concntrated more on the PS2 version and didnt worry about the next gen PES 2008 patch to combat offline and online issues [Archive ::
Then Pro-g reviewed the ps3 version and called it out on the frame rate problems, PES2008 only runs at 720P max so i cant run it above anything youre running :

but HDTVs are very expensive, especially on top of the cost of a ps3! PES2008 looked good. Its just the AI, player physicals and general movement that was poor.

like on last year's version for 360, there was no edit mode.
the next gen consoles will be limited.
