"Debt is considerably lower than a decade ago". However, Britain's public debt is actually £1,866 billion, equivalent to 125.5% of GDP, nearly three times larger than the government's published figure of £645 billion and 43.4% of GDP. This measures out as a debt of £76,475 per British household."
When will new labour tell the truth?

It always amazes me listening to people banging on about what a terrible thing Maggie Thatcher was. They NEVER take into account the complete mess that LABOUR had got the country into before her.The Labour party ALWAYS hurts most the people they allege to stand for "The working man".We now have an unelected prime minister that wrecked our economy in his previous job taking us into Europe which is the most undemocratic union on Earth without a say, they should all be locked up as self serving criminals what they are doing is just a revised idea of Nazism. If you go back to their election campaign over a decade ago and actually count the lies from that point onwards you'd run out of beads on your abacus!!
gordon brown knows how to add up but he thinks we cant.
he thinks that we have been educated to the lowest standards possible and will not be able to work things out for ourselves.
I think the problem is he never learnt!
He's actually being really clever if you think about it. He's speind money that we don't have right now. This will have to be paid back in about 2 years. That'll be just after the next election then. The Government then is going to have to raise taxes massively to pay the debt back and they'll be painted as the "bad boys".
We all know that Gordon and his mates stand a snowball's chance in hell of getting re-elected so they'll be able to sit back and blame those nasty Tories for the massive tax rises.
Well you how Gordon Brown counts don't you,,, one two miss a few,,, three four miss some more,,, five six seven eight its never too late,,, nine ten to use slight of pen.
I am with spook542 on this one, as for Gordon he must have mislaid his Calculator with all our Data, The only thing he can add up is how much of OUR money he wants to throw away and perk up his and his cronies in Parliaments pay packets!.
No problem croxx Gordon will get the printer out!Turn that printer to full speed!!
Why do we have income support in the UK?
