Double points bonus on now. Found out by accident.
From the Sept 2007 issue of Tangerine. Not as good as the current 100 bonus point promo which expires on Sept 16, but this one seems to go longer. Maybe it will replace the biweekly G&M promo? Also, no promo code that I can see in the the brochure.
With PINS from 2 eligible* Quaker, Tropicana or Propel purchases.
Look in-store for specially marked Quaker, Tropicana and Propel products to find your PINs and enter them on-line at www.breakfastcentral.ca to earn Double the Aeroplan Miles. Eligible PIN combinations include:
Tropicana + Quaker, Tropicana + Propel or Quaker + Propel. It's that easy!
* Offer valid Sept 15 to Oct 31, 2007. PINs must be entered in the same transaction and cannot be re-used. Limit of 5 bonus offers per Aeroplan member during the offer period.
Dupe post, FT's all $#%&ed up tonight!
Well I couldn't resist a last round of AM, AE Miles and BOGO coupons...so did last minute tour at Dominion and got 10 more boxes! I opened 5 boxes on the spot and used 5 coupons on the spot. Cashier gave me a funny look when she had to scan those thorned open boxes.:D
They had no more Vanilla flavored ones so they gave me a rain check for 10 (including the 50 Air Miles Promo, thank you!). I've got 30 days to pick-up 10 more boxes at the old price ($2) and with the 50 Air Miles promo attached to it.:p
Now I have to find out the time to enter all those PINs to max out the current promos for our 4 family members
PS: Life cereals $1.97 at Zellers this week.
To get 25 miles, you probably have to buy new boxes with the 25 mile logo on them.
This is true. I just tried an 'old' Quaker PIN and got 10 miles.
I've acquired over 2500 miles so far, thanks to the various combination bonus promos. Have accumulated a bunch of PINs to enter if/when more promo bonuses are announced.
Glad I didn't claim PINs at 10 miles per, if now they're worth 25. Maybe the increase in value is instead of promo bonuses? Maybe they'll appreciate in value again, so should continue to horde them?
The BOGO coupons I have for Quaker bars expire December 31, 2008. I also picked up a handful of $0.75 off coupons good until March 31, 2008.
Have to see what the price is at Wal-Mart to get a chance at 15000 miles. Winnipeg Safeways had Chewy bars at 2 for $5 last week. Used BOGOs to get 4 for $5 and then subtract $1.50 (2 x 0.75) = 4 PINs (and 4 BOGOs) for $3.50. Bars went in the Food Bank bin.
If the check-out clerk reads the fine print on both sets of coupons s/he will note that they cannot be used with another coupon. But you might get away with it...
Who pissed in your Quaker oats and Tropicana this morning?
Oh come on, that's the SH we've come to know and trust :D
On another note, the other day I killed a centipede. I'm going to hell.
It looks like the new promotion I mentioned from the Tangerine issue is all that's available. From the www.breakfastcentral.ca site:
The grinch is here to confirm this was a limited-time promo and there are no more GLOBE bonus codes.
This just in. The offensive PIN seems to have been validated and deposited.
''Hello,
Thank you for providing the additional information requested to review your account. (I put "unknown" for UPC code, and "no" for cash register receipt possession/availability, and said Safeway for where but not sure when - Gordooo).
It appears that one of the PIN numbers you entered has previously been used. As we understand this mistake may occur, your Breakfast Central account has been reactivated. In order to avoid future account reviews, please be vigilant to enter PIN numbers only once and ensure your PIN labels are not shared with others.
Non compliance with Breakfast Central Terms and Conditions may result in forfeit of deposited Aeroplan Miles.
We appreciate your patronage and encourage you to continue collecting Quaker and Tropicana participating products.
Thank you for your support and participation. Please email me if you have anymore questions.

Anybody got the 150 Bonus code from the Tangerine newletter?
From the Breakfastcentral.ca web site:
What is the Quaker 150 Bonus Aeroplan Mile Offer?
Earn 150 Bonus Aeroplan Miles when you enter the PINs from four eligible Quaker Cereal and / or Quaker Instant Oatmeal products and the Bonus Code in the same transaction. This code was printed in Aeroplan’s October Tangerine Newsletter.
Offer valid from October 15, 2007 to November 30, 2007 11:59:59 p.m. EST (the “Offer Period”). Limit of three (3) uses of the Quaker 150 Bonus Aeroplan Miles offer per Aeroplan member during the Offer Period. Each product PIN may only be used once.
2muchfun
I used the same link as for the Sept issue, and updated it to find Oct.
The promo code is WEH9KXWL.
Here is the link for the October issue of Tangerine (http://www.nxtbook.com/nxtbooks/dawson/tangerine1007/).
I would assume that if one entered 4 Quaker PINs and 4 Tropicana/Propel PINs in the same transaction before Oct 31 with the bonus code, one could get 150 + 80 + 80 miles = 310 miles.
Note that the Double the Miles promo was supposed to be limited to 5 bonus offers per member. But I know that I've gotten double miles on at least 9 pairs of PINs by taking advantage of the last 100 mile promo 3 times. So maybe 5 bonus offers really means 5 transactions?
Tropicana Tropics juice at $2 at Loblaws (Ontario only?) this week with the 25 Aeroplan which becomes 50 with the current promo. Good juice, good price and Miles as bonus^. Too bad 4 double Miles bonus limit per AE member.
2muchfun
Even better. Get a raincheck which can be used up to 30 days from now, and go back later this week when they do have stock!
Don't bother tryping to apply if you're not a Canadian citizen.
What do you mean exactly?
I am buying Tropicana 4 pack at costco which is a good deal. But I have too many quaker chewy bars.
My granola bars are being given out at Halloween this year!
Any ideas on where to the quaker codes?
Huh?
Margarita Girl beat me to it.
Since I was at it, I drove to the local IGA store and bought two containers at $2.99 each (1.89l) which is a bargain. So today I earned 10+25=35 aeroplan points. My day is made!
Would I make your day even more if I told you you actually earned 45 aeroplan points 2 X 10 + 25 = 45 :)
Hi Margarita....I was going to do the same but was wondering if they may end this promotion at some point. Have you heard or read anything about how long this is going to go on.
I just entered 10 today which is the max for the day. I expect I'll go through a lot over the Xmas holidays. And yes the Mango Peach OJ opne tastes great. Bet it will taste better with a bit of rum added to lol.
Have yourself a very Merry Christmas and Best wishes for a Happy Healthy 2008.

You're probably right. Wonder how long it will take to get the 10's used up and the 25's on the shelves. Didn't see any at Safeway or Wal-Mart today, except the Tropicana Tropics. Also didn't see any 15,000 mile entry stickers at Wal-Mart.
Got 270 Aeroplan miles from six Quaker pins and two Tropicana pins. Used a couple of the BOGO coupons at Dominion for the extra Quaker Chewys and bought enough to also get the 25 Airmiles as per SH's comments above.
Don't forget the the double Aeroplan offer ends October 31, while the new offer goes to the end of November, so the current overlapping offers only have one more week to go if you want to recive both.
Thanks, MG and SH.
bj-21.
Haven't seen the BOGOs here. Safeway had the Chewy bars at 4 for $10 last week. Shoppers has them at $1.99 plus buy 2 get 300 bonus Optimum points. I've put excess bars in the food bank box at Safeway.
Next promo should be Monday Sept 3.
In May and June (I think) they had promos which were 100 miles each.
Word of advice: Save all your PINS and wait for the next promo which requires them. (I'm sitting on a lot of PINS from Propel right now. :D )
I'm wondering if the Tropicana and AP people make it hard to decipher the codes on the Tropicana OJ on purpose. I've been locked out of my account after 3 unsuccessful times in trying to input the code. This has happened on more than a few occassions. I've just given up and let the points go to waste. I'll go back to drinking Minute Maid....
My rant for the day....
Wow, given some of the, ahem, 'elitist' pontifications sometimes found on FT it's a shock to see so many 'reduced' to coupon clipping and bargin aisle diving :p:D
Well needless to say One doesn't do that sort of thing Oneself. One has One's housekeeper enter the Tropicana codes when she gets back from doing the shopping. And I believe the chauffeur deals with all the Esso stuff.
And One hardly needs the miles, you understand ; but it keeps the servants' hall amused, and they might even get a new coffee-maker for Christmas out of it.
I went to the store a bit late today and the one I went to did not have the Aeroplan Tropicana juice.
Difficult to find some place at 9-9:30 pm with stuff for the offer so does anyone have 1-3 Tropicana codes or Propel codes that they can lend me and I will return them tomorrow.
Thanks,
Mary
You must also register two purchases, both from boxes that have the PINs printed on the inside: a Qaker granola or oatmeal bar product, and a ready-to-eat cereal. So I have no qualms about posting the bonus code: C4K3TWKE. Happy munching!
BTW, DOMINON/A&P have a special on the PIN'd granola bars this week, 2 boxes for $4. TROPICANA orange juice is also on sale for $3.49. In some locations you can also find a $2 off coupon (when purchasing 3 such products) which would bring the net cost down to $5.49 and yield 30 AE miles. The cereal will know you back another $4 bucks or so...

Thanks for the tip on the sale at Dominion! Also, cereal is on sale for $2.99 in the same flyer. But hopefully people stocked up last week when they were $1.99 at Shopper's Drug Mart, not a bad deal if you use the 50 cent coupon from your old boxes.

I assume you mean coupons are available at the store. Do you need to buy 3 different products, or can they all be the same?

I'm sure they're after PIN thieves. As discussed earlier, the Tropicana and Propel PINs are pretty much in plain sight. The Quaker PINs are inside sealed boxes. I wouldn't purchase an open box of anything, not just because of the PIN theft possibility, but because the product might have been tampered with.
On the previous occasion when my account was locked or frozen, it was unlocked within a couple of days of my contacting them, as you (margarita girl) say, but I don't remember being asked for the UPC code, or if I have the cash register receipt, or to submit when/where I made the purchase. There are more questions this time than when I went through it a while back. I have so many PINs stored up that I don't know which ones were purchased when or where. Most have been at one Safeway or another, but I did buy some at Wal-Mart (selling for less) and some at Shoppers when they had a special which included Optimum points.
Since they've announced upcoming 25 AP miles for Quaker products, I won't be buying any more 10 milers.
Has anyone found any stickers for entry into the Wal-Mart 15,000 mile contest?
Don't bother tryping to apply if you're not a Canadian citizen.
The double points promo was only supposed to be valid 5 times, so maybe you maxed out?
That would be unethical as the PIN is supposed to be for GLOBE readers of the paper edition. Otherwise it would appear in the online edition accessible to all. They intention of the exclusivity is to have you buy a copy of the GLOBE to see if these offers increase sales. (Not that it's been promoted in a way that anybody outside of FT and those getting today's GLOBE even know about it.) BTW this one's worth 25 AE miles.
Shareholder,
I flew on AC yesterday (actually bumped into Parnel, Nordsfan while they were picking up someone) is now in the US where guess what Globe and Mail is not sold. I had a copy yesterday but would not be able to get my hands on one nor go out and buy one in Silicon Valley.
I wish Tropicana Apple Juice would earn points... I love that stuff :D
BTW, 1.89L Tropicana products are on sale right now at Dominion for $2.99. I'm not sure the details, but I noticed it looked like all their products at my local Dominion were on special when I was there.
Ditto for Loblaws and ValuMart at least in Toronto.
The double points promo was only supposed to be valid 5 times, so maybe you maxed out?
This is probably obvious to most but I missed it. You can use the promo code up to five times but there appears to be no limit to how many product codes you can enter per use. So you can get much more than five double point bonuses if you enter a lot of codes at once. I have not tried to see if you get 150 x 2 bonus if you enter 8 cereal/bar codes at once, but I got the double bonus on all four cereal codes (entered with an OJ code) even though the number of double bonuses I had received was already greater than 5 from three previous submissions.
Multiplying like rabbits! I had 20 BOGO coupons, bought 20 got 20 free, now I've got 40 coupons! And lot of bars to give out to the Gobblins on Oct. 31st!
Do I buy 40 and get 80 BOGO coupons?
Mrs 2muchfun is ready to call a shrink to analyse me:p
Was able to get both the Globe & Mail 100 Aeroplan mile bonus and the Aeroplan double mile bonus (that one only on the two 10 mile pin entries, not the G & M bonus) by entering the details today, Sept. 15. So to get both current bonuses totaling 140 Aeroplan miles, don't forget to enter the two pins no later then tomorrow as the offers overlap until then.
Every little bit helps.
bj-21.
I did not see this posted - though it could have been :) - the Quaker/Tropicana promo has been extended.
Beginning on or about January 2, 2007 and now extended until December 31, 2008 or while supplies last, look for specially-marked packages of participating Quaker®, Tropicana® and Propel® products offering 10 or 25 Aeroplan® Miles with each qualifying purchase. The current participating products and Aeroplan® Miles values are as follows:
http://www.breakfastcentral.ca/termsandconditions.aspx
Tropicana is $2.49 at Loblaws this week.
This new promotion is from Sept 15-Oct 31 and only allows 5 uses of the double promotion per aeroplan member. Thanks for the info yesterday about the overlap with the Globe promotion. I too got the 140 points. Thanks!
Ciana:)
:pFrom today's Review section of G&M::
Earn 30 Bonus Aeroplan miles! Enter this bonus code: XACK3MTW at breakfastcentral.ca along with one (1) PIN from an eliogible Quaker product and one (1) PIN from an eligible Tropicana product in the same transaction to earn 30 Bonus Aeroplan Miles!
Look here on Aug. 20th to earn more miles!
I need to dig up all of my Quaker 2 for 1 coupons. I hope they haven't expired yet.
Q. What is the Globe and Mail Bonus PIN and where do I find it?
A. The Globe and Mail bonus PIN can be found exclusively in an ad in the Globe and Mail Review section on July 23, 2007 and is valid from July 23 – August 5th, 2007 ("The Offer Period"). There is a limit of one use of the free PIN per Aeroplan member during the Offer Period.
Sounds like it may just be 10 bonus points. Whoop-dee-do.
Could someone please post the Pin for the people that don"t have access to Canada's most widely read and most respected paper? Thank you.
At lunch break, I am going to the nearby library. They open at 1 pm.
If I can find the code, I will post it. Hopefully, it is included in the Quebec edition as well, why shouldn't it be? We all love Tropicana, coast to coast!:p
Margarita Girl beat me to it.
The library was open but they did Not have G&M. I snatched the last copy at the Shell station across the street. The code is at the bottom of page R7. It also says: "Look here on Aug. 6th to earn more miles!"
Since I was at it, I drove to the local IGA store and bought two containers at $2.99 each (1.89l) which is a bargain. So today I earned 10+25=35 aeroplan points. My day is made!

Groan ... Guess I'll be buying more granola bars. :p
Thanks! ^
Just entered 4 Tropicana PINs with 4 Quaker PINs and promo code WEH9KXWL and got 310 miles.
Canadian residents, shurely!?
=aw
Also the 25 miles don't seem to be auto-doubling to 50 lately. Any suggestions as to what I'm doing incorrectly? Think the 2X ends Friday?
Max 4 allowed (not 40 as I speculated in post #128).
Bleeping idiots just blocked my account again for suspicious activity as I entered the 1st of 6 cereal and granola codes to take advantage of the 50 point bonus promo! I have all the boxes beside me as well as the purchase receipts. Boxes were sealed so no one had access to the codes beside me. Promo expires tonight, and it's not likely that they'll have me unblocked until at least Tuesday.
So what happens now???
Or maybe this is a good thing. Do you think they'll have to honor the promo when they unblock me, and I'll get a chance to see what tomorrow's promo looks like in case it's even better?
I'm in the same boat. I have been blocked out of my acount for 3 days! due to "suspicious activity". I replied to their questions a few days ago (re: do you have receipts? tell us te UPC codes? Where did you buy the products?, etc....) I'm sitting on A LOT of cereal and granola boxes and my account will not be unlocked until Tuesday I presume. I'm p*ssed! I wouldn't have shelled out all of this $$ to Quaker if I wasn't going to be getting the points. I think a letter to AP/Quaker/Breakfast Central will have to be done to get the points (including bonus) posted retroactively.
At 350 points per day, that's 1050 for three days.
They want you to use the promo code on an "unlimited basis" and then they lock you out. Bah Humbug.
You won't need to send anything in. See my post #91 on this subject. They'll unlock your account in a couple of days.
I think this is to discourage PIN thieves, but they don't ask for proof.
Don't forget to reenter the PIN after your account's been unlocked as it will not have gone through.
Now, I just buy the Tropicana with the codes I can read easily. No "O", "0", "D", "P", "F", etc...and have no more frustrations. You can also e-mail Breakfast Central and they will send you a replacement PIN.
Thanks Vaclav!
Shareholder, I'll buy 2 papers when I am back tomorrow.
Should be in tomorrow's paper.

Price Chopper has the following on sale this week for $1.97 each:
Life Cereal
Chewy Granola Bars
Quaker Oatmeal
I have seen Life boxes with the 25 Aeroplan miles, but have yet to see any granola bar boxes with anything more than 10 miles. Not sure about the oatmeal.
I'm wondering if we'll ever see some of the bonus promos similar to last year again. I'm currently sitting on a pile of PINs!
Sale is valid until Thursday Jan 24th.
Just noticed that the Tropicana Tropics juice line is now participating in the program and is offering 25 Aeroplan miles.
Time to switch from OJ to mango passion fruit. :)
So far I have garnered 60 extra Aeroplan points.
That's alot of Tropicana.
Gulp.
Thanks margarita girl.
Wonder if we happen to enter the pins on Sept. 15/16 along with the bonus code will we get both the bonus miles AND the double Aeroplan miles mentioned in the brochure, as the two promotions overlap on those dates. Will have to remember to try it then.
bj-21.
I too am holding a bunch of PINs in eager and hopeful anticipation of bonus codes for combinations of PINs as we saw last year.
Also have a number of Quaker BOGO coupons which I'm waiting to use for the purchase of the 25-mile boxes. Have acquired a few 25-mile PINs from Tropicana Tropics cartons, but they've not been on sale lately in the 'peg as far as I know.
WPG Wal-Marts have the special Quaker packages for entry in the draws for 15,000 miles. Price a little over $2.
One YWG Safeway has had 250 AirMiles per $100 spend the past couple of weeks.
Me too. 310 showed at breakfastcentral when I validated my codes, but I haven't seen any miles post to my AP account from Tropicana/Quaker in a while.
My teenager insisted if we hand out the bars at Halloween our house will get egged. Then he had a few and thought they weren't bad. The Airmiles alone more than cover the cost.
That's the thing, they actually are quite tasty -- I prefer the blueberry which have just become AE eligible, but vanilla will do -- nutritious and healthy (in moderate amounts).
Multiplying like rabbits! I had 20 BOGO coupons, bought 20 got 20 free, now I've got 40 coupons! And lot of bars to give out to the Gobblins on Oct. 31st!
Do I buy 40 and get 80 BOGO coupons?
Mrs 2muchfun is ready to call a shrink to analyse me
It is a bit too much to pass up, particularly when the AM offer works on the free boxes as well as the paid ones. Who can resist 50 AMs for $10, plus all the AE miles and more BOGOs! Fortunately the $2 price and 25 AMs/5 packages ends tonight. But those BOGOs are good for more than a year, so the stock is in place for the next big Double Dip.
Just noticed that the Tropicana Tropics juice line is now participating in the program and is offering 25 Aeroplan miles.
Time to switch from OJ to mango passion fruit. :)
Sigh ... ;) Always knew you were juiced up! :D
Winnipeg Safeway had Chewy Bars and Oatmeal To Go on for 3 for $7.00 last week. Bought 6, used BOGOs to get 12 packages, and then used 6 $0.75 off coupons for a total of 12 boxes for $9.50. Only the 10 miles boxes though, but the price was right, but only 120 miles. Now, here's the kicker - 40 AirMiles for buying 6.
Still haven't seen 25 miles on bars, only on cereal and Tropicana Tropics.
Anyone else having trouble reading PINs on juice cartons? I keep getting locked out as I try possible combinations of R and A and H and W. Have to wait 24 hours to try again.
Also the 25 miles don't seem to be auto-doubling to 50 lately. Any suggestions as to what I'm doing incorrectly? Think the 2X ends Friday?

(Not that it's been promoted in a way that anybody outside of FT and those getting today's GLOBE even know about it.)
BTW this one's worth 25 AE miles.
Who pissed in your Quaker oats and Tropicana this morning?
Just entered 4 Tropicana PINs with 4 Quaker PINs and promo code WEH9KXWL and got 310 miles.
Thanks Margarita Girl :)^
I am buying Tropicana 4 pack at costco which is a good deal. But I have too many quaker chewy bars. Any ideas on where to the quaker codes?
I'm hoarding all my PINs until the next promo. It's not worth entering them for 10 miles apiece.
I've earned 2285 miles so far.
I dont think that guy should be whining about people posting the public code here. it is publicly available from the newspaper, its not a secret code.
Anyone have access to a Globe and Mail today? I believe a new code should be published per the www.breakfastcentral.ca website:
I'm in NY and don't have access to a local paper.
Thanks so much
Sorry but you won't get it form me. Have a friend buy you a GLOBE. Remember, today's bonus code requires two purchases as well, one Qaker one Tropicana.
So far I have purchased enough OJ to get me 185 AE points.
Disney World, here I come!
How long does it take for the miles to show up? I did one of these for one of my kids, and his miles have not shown up after a week or so.
Thanks Vaclav!
Shareholder, I'll buy 2 papers when I am back tomorrow.
And remember, you need to buy 2 (TWO) qualifying products to take advantage of this offer as well.
I've seen the 25 miles for tropic juice in someone else's fridge :P
Tropicana Tropics juice at $2 at Loblaws (Ontario only?) this week with the 25 Aeroplan which becomes 50 with the current promo. Good juice, good price and Miles as bonus^. Too bad 4 double Miles bonus limit per AE member.
2muchfun
Since you can enter up to 10 codes at a time, I suspect you can enter 10 codes 4 times for a total of 40 codes. This is how the max has worked in the past.
Also Life is on sale for $1.97 at Zeller's this week, but I don't think it qualifies for double points.
From the Smart Source coupon insert found in many newspapers:
Enter this bonus code: TX79WA3N along with any 3 PINS from specially-marked Quaker products in the same transaction to earn 100 Bonus Aeroplan Miles. Limit of 5 uses of bonus code.
Fine print: Offer valid from Oct 1-31. Deposit 3 eligible PINs along with bonus code TX79WA3N in the same transaction and receive 100 bonus Aeroplan miles.
Note that the photo illustrates Chewy granola bars, Quaker Oatmeal, Life cereal, Cap'n Crunch cereal and Oatmeal to Go bars. (No Propel and no Tropicana, so don't think they're included.)
Also on the same page is the other offer which runs from Sept 15 to Oct 31 for double Aeroplan Miles when you enter the PINs from 2 eligible Quaker, Tropicana or Propel products in the same transaction. This was also limited to 5 uses, so if you haven't used yours yet, I would think you could overlap these 2 promotions.
I wish Tropicana Apple Juice would earn points... I love that stuff :D
BTW, 1.89L Tropicana products are on sale right now at Dominion for $2.99. I'm not sure the details, but I noticed it looked like all their products at my local Dominion were on special when I was there.
Thanks,
Mary
I will PM you 2 Tropicana codes.
Wow. Shareholder. Get a grip, dude.
Someone please post the PIN. Thank you.
If I start entering a PIN I've already used, the website remembers the PIN and finishes populating the field. (Not sure if I expressed that correctly, but that's how I can tell that a PIN was used before..)
Offer valid from Aug 6 to Aug 19. Deposit 1 Quaker PIN and 1 Tropicana PIN along with bonus code XACK3MTW in the same transaction and receive 30 bonus Aeroplan miles. No limit on the number of times the Bonus Code may be used during offer period. Each product PIN may only be used once. Open to Canadian resident Aeroplan Members only.
It would be a lot easier if when you've signed in to your Breakfast Central account, they could show a list of the pins that you've previously submitted, so as not to submit the same pin twice. But I guess that would take up too much space on the page, so it may not be feasable. As it is, I'll have to email them before I submit one pin, as I'm not sure if I'd already submitted it from a package we've opened.

Pleased to report at least one Winnipeg Safeway now has BOGO coupon Chewy Bars at 4 for $8, $10.08 all in. Guess taxes also apply to the free boxes. Still, eight PINs and eight BOGOs for $10 !!
No bonus AirMiles though, except 100 AMs per $100 spend to maximum 300. Not as good as last week's 150 AMs per $100 spend to maximum of 450 AM at a few stores. And nowhere compared to one WPG Safeway store's 250 AMs per $100 spent for a number of weeks this past summer (500 AMs for a $200 spend !!). All stocked up on paper towels, TP, deodorant, and other non-perishables for the Winterpeg hibernation period.
Now, let's see; $300/$8=37.5. 37.5x4=150 boxes; (or $300/$2 per box)=150 PINs and BOGOs - should last well into 2008. Bring on the extra 100, 150, 2x, or whatever bonus codes. Of course, I'm sharing with Gordooo-ette to more than keep her AE account active.
It looks like the new promotion I mentioned from the Tangerine issue is all that's available. From the www.breakfastcentral.ca site:
Automatically earn Twice the Aeroplan Miles when you enter the PINs from two eligible Quaker, Tropicana or Propel products in the same transaction. To review eligible PIN combinations, click here.
Just back from our local Dominion, this time just to get the 25 bonus Airmiles again for our Quaker Chewy bars purchase as that offer expires today, and to get get more BOGO boxes for the next offer.
Mrs. bj-21 got the current Aeroplan email that mentions an offer only for FIRST TIME users of the breakfast central website to enter their pins. Was wondering why it never came in my similar email, until I re-read hers and noticed that it was only for those who have never entered pins yet, as I've been entering them for my Aeroplan account, but she gets other bonuses.
Anyway, here's the offer, copied and pasted. Remember that it only applies if you've NEVER entered pins before.

How long does it take for the miles to show up? I did one of these for one of my kids, and his miles have not shown up after a week or so.
These generally get posted once a month around the 10th. You may have just missed the February sweep and posting.
Here it is: KF4ATN3H
I dont think that guy should be whining about people posting the public code here. it is publicly available from the newspaper, its not a secret code.
"That guy" has stated his position. Until all the required PINs are contained on the inside of a package that actually requires the purchase of an item, I am not encouraging those less scrupulous who would otherwise just copy the PIN off an open container of orange juice. The newspaper is also an item that requires a purchase under normal circumstances and is not an openly posted public medium. We that the case, then the Bonus codes would be posted on billboards across the country or posted on the QAKER or TROPICANA websites.
Sorry, what's the next promo? I don't feel like reading this thread from the start :p
Still waiting .... This fall they had a string of promos one after the other, some even overlapping. Hoping those come back. Nothing on right now that I'm aware of.
I did not see this posted - though it could have been :) - the Quaker/Tropicana promo has been extended.
http://www.breakfastcentral.ca/termsandconditions.aspx
Not really new at all. It was well know a few new items had been added that offer 25 points per PIN, and that the program will last through the
Not as generous as the one that wraps up Friday, but...
In the latest issue of TANGERINE, this one is a Tropicana only promo which gives you an extra 11 AE miles for each 10 mile PIN submitted from the orange juice (not the fruit juices that are showing 25 AE miles). Starts March 1st and runs through April 14th. Limit of four per AE account. The code is: 3FKPX9TTN.
Double Dip: AE miles and AIR MILES!
Dominion and A&P in Ontario and Quebec are selling boxes of those CHEWY bars for $2 each this week. Buy 5 and get 25 bonus AIR MILES ($10). Make sure you have the AE branded boxes -- now expanded to include blueberry in addition to vanilla and strawberry yogurt -- you have four PINs for this month's TANGERINE bonus (150+80 with double promo). There are also some of the BOGO boxes left, meaning your cost per box can come down to $1, so buy 5, get 5 for a total of 10 and... 50 AMs and 150+80 x2 AE miles for just $10!
It appears that CHEWY bars are considered an acceptable Qaker "cerial" product for the purposes of the current 150 AE mile bonus.
Of course, what does one do with all those bars? They are a healthy snack for those times when you're in need of a sugar boost, make ideal munchies when on long treks and travelling/sight-seeing, good with that attrocious hotel room coffee to start the day with, and can also be handed to street people in lieu of small change or loonies...
As for posting to one's AE account, this seems to occur in batches every few weeks, with the actual dates you posted them on the Breakfastcentral site being the date they show on your AE statement. I had a bunch post about a week ago from earlier this month and since the last September batch.
I'm wondering if the Tropicana and AP people make it hard to decipher the codes on the Tropicana OJ on purpose. I've been locked out of my account after 3 unsuccessful times in trying to input the code.
You shouldn't be locked out for unsuccessfully entering a PIN. Lock-outs are due to "suspicious activity", i.e. someone else has already entered that PIN. It's happened to me twice (once with a box of Life and a box of Quaker, both of which I had just unsealed ). An e-mail to Breakfast Central will result in the following response 2-3 days later:
It appears that one of the PIN numbers you entered has previously been used. As we understand this mistake may occur, your Breakfast Central account has been reactivated. In order to avoid future account reviews, please be vigilant to enter PIN numbers only once and ensure your PIN labels are not shared with others.
Also, a note for anyone who has been locked out of their account. You need to reenter the PINs that you were locked out with as they were not processed after the account was reactivated. Breakfast Central sent me an e-mail with 4 PINs that had been validated but not entered. I finally figured out that they were the ones I was locked out with!
would anyone be willing trade me a 2 quaker codes for 2 tropicana codes?
If you lived in Ontario or Quebec you could have bought two boxes of CHEWEY bars (vanilla and strawberry only) for $4 on special at DOMINION and A&P last week. And the new boxes have a Buy One Get One coupon inside, so your cost for further Quaker codes deminishes considerably from then on. (The bars are now back to their normal $2.99 at these stores, $3.49 at some other grocers.)
I'm hoarding all my PINs until the next promo. It's not worth entering them for 10 miles apiece.
I've earned 2285 miles so far.
That's a lot of OJ. Just imagine how well you could have done if they'd sold Margarita Mix. ;)
Given the current box promo on CHEWY bars, this can be a real cheap way of picking up AE miles, since each eligible box contains not only a PIN but also a coupon for a free box on your next purchase: BOGO. In Ontario and Quebec, Dominion and A&P have these bars on for 2 boxes for $4. Buy your first four boxes for $8, then use those coupons to buy 16 more (buy 8, get 8) for $16.
That's more than enough PINs (5x3=15) with some left over for next month's bonus promotion.
And of you happen to have one of the $2 QUAKER Back-to-School coupons (buy any three eligible products, of which CHEWY bars qualify), the first four boxes will only cost you $6...and the 800 AE miles just $18!
Note that only two flavours of CHEWY bars qualify (Vanilla and Strawberry) and you may have to search for the BOGO marked boxes (coupons good til Dec2008). To confirm your flavour qualifies, the AE logo will appear on the top of the box, the BOGO promo on the top front panel.
Wow. Shareholder. Get a grip, dude.
Someone please post the PIN. Thank you.
OMG, AirCanadaBoy, that is the funniest comment I have ever read on here since I started with flyertalk. "Get a grip, dude." applies to many peoples extreme reactions on here.
thanks for the laugh
Glad I didn't claim PINs at 10 miles per, if now they're worth 25. Maybe the increase in value is instead of promo bonuses? Maybe they'll appreciate in value again, so should continue to horde them?
I'd be surprised if your PINs increased in value. I think they will be worth what it said on the box you got them from. To get 25 miles, you probably have to buy new boxes with the 25 mile logo on them. Speaking of which, I scanned the aisles at my local Food Basics a couple of days ago, and they had no products with the 25 miles PIN except for the Tropicana Tropics juices. All the cereals and granola bars still only offered 10 miles.
Time to switch from OJ to mango passion fruit. :)
I've always been an OJ person. :)

I noticed miles weren't posting for PINs I`d validated and e-mailed BC to learn my account had been deactivated, as above. It has been reactivated, but I didn't get any validated, unentered PINs back. I recall trying to enter a PIN and having it rejected as already used, possibly by me - I'm carefully segregating my PINs now; used and unused.
Hard to believe someone c/would have a PIN from inside a Quaker box. The Tropicana PINs are in plain view (Propel PINs are almost in plain view) and could be copied down without making a purchase. I'm retaining my PINs now in case of questions.
Safeway in Winnipeg had Chewy Bars on for 4 for $10 last week - with accumulated BOGOs, that`s 8 for $10 plus (or minus) there was a stack of $0.75 off coupons on the shelf. Most disappointed the cashier wouldn`t give me 75 cents off the free ones, ha ha. Anyway, 8 PINs and BOGOs for $7 + taxes. Bars went into the Food Bank box.
I`m impatiently awaiting news of new bonus codes. I guess they might come in December as I think the current bonus of 150 for 4 Q`s expires November 30.
BTW, various Winnipeg Safeway stores have been having 100 or 150 AirMiles per $100 spent to maximum $300 for 300 or 450 AMs. There`s also 100 AMs for signing up to receive e-mail from Safeway - you need AM account and Sfwy Club card number.
What do you mean exactly?
Promotion is only valid for Canadian citizens. I tried giving some of my codes to my brother who lives near Dallas, and it wouldn't work.
Loblaws and some of the stores have 75 cent coupons near the chewy bars. You get charged the tax for the full amount but it brings it to around $2 at some stores and have the buy one and get one free coupons...
would anyone be willing trade me a 2 quaker codes for 2 tropicana codes?
Actually, Life cereal is on for $1.99 this week at Price Chopper. All boxes have a 50 cent coupon on the back.
There is an ongoing thread on this promotion that you should have posted this to. As for the G&M PIN, I guess it will appear in an ad in that newspaper on the 23rd. Since today is the 22nd, and the Globe doesn't publish on Sumday, you'll just have to wait a few more hours.
Previous promos have actually been for 100 miles, but did require an additional deposit of at least two other 10 mile items.
At lunch break, I am going to the nearby library. They open at 1 pm.
If I can find the code, I will post it. Hopefully, it is included in the Quebec edition as well, why shouldn't it be? We all love Tropicana, coast to coast!:p
I'm hoarding all my PINs until the next promo. It's not worth entering them for 10 miles apiece.
I've earned 2285 miles so far.
Sorry, what's the next promo? I don't feel like reading this thread from the start :p
I guess we'll know when we get our next issue of TANGERINE...around December 1st.
Wow, given some of the, ahem, 'elitist' pontifications sometimes found on FT it's a shock to see so many 'reduced' to coupon clipping and bargin aisle diving :p:D
(I'd join in the fun but my Tropicana account was suspended a while ago due to "suspicious" activity...:o
I just submitted a Quaker PIN to my account which seemed to deposit fine at 10 miles, but when I tried to deposit one to Missus Gordooo's account, got a message saying account "under review" and to provide UPC code and details as to when and where purchase was made and asking if I have the cash register receipt. I don't have the UPC code and I don't know which one of the many receipts is the one for this particular PIN. I replied that I have the original piece of cardboard with the PIN on it which I cut from the box of Chewy Bars before discarding the rest of the box. I offered to mail it in.
If I didn't have as many PINs stock-piled as I do and wasn't hoping for a bonus code in the new year, I'd say this is bordering on being too much trouble.
I was previously questioned about my own account, that a PIN I was trying to deposit had already been entered/claimed. And I admitted I might have already done so. I now mark them as I deposit them and keep them separate from the unclaimed stack of PINs.
Do you keep cash register receipts and packaging for all your PINs?
Would I make your day even more if I told you you actually earned 45 aeroplan points 2 X 10 + 25 = 45 :)
Good try but actually not. I did something else.
I earned 35 points and my good friend another 35 in the separate account.
At the end of the day, both of us earned 70 points together.
The cost: For me, driving around Montreal East. :D
The double points promo was only supposed to be valid 5 times, so maybe you maxed out?
Possibly. I wasn't really keeping close count. Guess I'll save my codes until the next bonus(es) announcement.
Just noticed this promotion goes until December 31, 2008!!; not 2007.
Found BOGOs at Wal-Mart. Paid $2.32 + taxes. BOGOs also good until the end of 2008!!
I think the daily limit on codes is 10.
Good news about the extension of the original promotion to December, 2008, and even better that many of the Quaker products will now go to 25 AP miles from 10. We've also saved some of the BOGO coupons, which expire in May, 2008. Guess the success of the original promotion prompted Quaker to stay with it and even expand the products and point amounts.
bj-21.
Great news, as I too have a dozen or so BOGOs but with lots of CHEWY bars still to hand out to street people and nibble on through the winter months, it'll be a while before I have to restock with the 25 AE mile variety. Old ones still only credit at 10 AE miles per PIN.
I can second that as well. The 2 bonus promotions overlapped. I got 140 miles for my OJ and oatmeal today
Worked for me as well. Entered all the Quaker pins first, followed by the Tropicana pins, then the bonus code that MG posted above to get all the bonuses. Remember to not enter the bonus code until AFTER you have entered all the needed pins. Dominion/A&P has the Tropicana OJ on sale for $2.99 starting tomorrow.
Thanks again, MG.
bj-21.
Thanks Margarita Girl :)^
I am buying Tropicana 4 pack at costco which is a good deal. But I have too many quaker chewy bars. Any ideas on where to the quaker codes?
The codes are printed on the inside of the CHEWY bar boxes, so these must be opened up to read the numbers/letters. But hope you made sure you only got the ones with the AE logo on the box top, since there are only three flavours that are eligible.
You can never have too many CHEWY bars. Their lifespan is pretty good, a year or more. And as you can read, lots of ways to get rid of them -- Hallowe'en is one I hadn't thought about, Food Banks is another though my street give-aways are a more direct way -- so that shouldn't be a problem when the cost gets down to $1 for a box of 5, or 20¢ each. (Plus all the AE miles and AMs.)
Glad bj was able to bulk up on the bars Double Dip.
Good news about the extension of the original promotion to December, 2008, and even better that many of the Quaker products will now go to 25 AP miles from 10. Anyone have access to a Globe and Mail today? I believe a new code should be published per the www.breakfastcentral.ca website:
Promotional Code Entry
Once you have validated both a Quaker and a Tropicana PIN, enter the exclusive August 6, 2007 Globe and Mail Bonus Code here, click 'Validate Code’, then ‘Deposit’.
I'm in NY and don't have access to a local paper.
Thanks so much
Multiplying like rabbits!
My teenager insisted if we hand out the bars at Halloween our house will get egged. Then he had a few and thought they weren't bad. The Airmiles alone more than cover the cost.
Groan ... Guess I'll be buying more granola bars. :p
I'll be getting the oatmeals instead. A much healthier way to get the points. ;) Trying to avoid many solid snacks these days. :D
Canadian residents, shurely!?
=aw
Correct! Sorry about that.:o
I have lots of Quaker codes. Does anyone want to trade Tropicana or Propel codes for them?
Enter this bonus code: TM794CFY at www.breakfastcentral.ca along with a combination of 2 PINs from eligible Quaker, Tropicana and Propel products in the same transaction to earn 100 Bonus Aeroplan Miles.
Fine print: Offer valid from Sept 3 to Sept 16. Eligible combinations include: a Tropicana and a Quaker PIN OR a Tropicana and a Propel PIN or a Quaker and Propel PIN along with bonus code TM794CFY in the same transaction for a total of 120 Aeroplan miles. Limit of 3 uses per member during the offer period.
Glad I've been saving those Propel PINs instead of entering them. :D
Here it is: KF4ATN3H
Thanks^
Is there a new code in the G&M today?
I found some "Oatmeal to Go" boxes with 25 Aeroplan miles at Wal-Mart today so they are starting to be put out. They didn't have any new granola bar boxes though.
Two more things: Valid from Aug 20 to Sept 2. No limit on number of times the Bonus Code may be used during offer period.
Personally, I don't think there are ANY ethics involved in posting this PIN. Quaker pays to run an ad in G&M. They are trying to promote the purchase of their products, not the newspaper!
As a matter of fact, I've got about 8 boxes of cereal to munch my way through right now. :D
These CHEWY bars are like tribbles...they don't stop multiplying, both themselves and miles! More boxes with more BOGO coupons means more AE miles (120+150x3), but even better 50 AMs for a mere $10! Not to mention lots of PINs still left for the next round of bonuses. Oh yes, use an AE credit card and add another 10 AE miles!
would anyone be willing trade me a 2 quaker codes for 2 tropicana codes?
So was mine. It seems somebody used the same Tropicana code as me. I sent an e-mail to Quaker with all the information confirming that I had indeed purchased the product (luckily I still had the box and the purchase receipt) and the account was released. So just send a note to Quaker.
So to address SH's concern that anyone can get a code off the OJ box is invalid. They won't get away with it for long.
Thanks for the code margarita girl. Got 100 bonus miles for stuff I'd already purchased. And a chance to get 200 more (gotta pickup some more Quaker bars). Sweet!
That would be unethical as the PIN is supposed to be for GLOBE readers of the paper edition. Otherwise it would appear in the online edition accessible to all. They intention of the exclusivity is to have you buy a copy of the GLOBE to see if these offers increase sales. .
I agonized over this ethical delemma before using the PIN and getting what might be pivotal points later on when trying to fly on points. G&M may not have intended that Canadians in outer Canada benefit from their promotion but it was a risk they ran. In fact they likely gained important marketing data like a spike in single copy sales in places like ....(gasp!) Edmonton.
"Smith, unleash the actuaries and market analysts---we must find out how this happened and embrace the concept".
What is unethical? Telling ordinary people that if they completely change their shopping habits and tempt them to buy things they really don't need that one day in 2012 they can travel for free. In executive class. Plus lotsa money for '' incidentals".
It's unethical and cruel to knowingly deceive potential pax with the notion that they can actually plan and reserve seats for travel 2 months down the road. Try booking executve class for 4 pax 356 days ahead and see how far you get.
It's unethical and unfair to confiscate a collectors points just because she cqnnot use them before an artifical deadline is imposed And why are fees on the transfer of points within families so punitive?
It's unethical and provocative to get mild mannered bystanders like me so insensed that they will spend hours pecking away at a keyboard to rant and rave when they should be in bed thinking: "Just 38 more sleeps before my Aeroplan flight to Europe"
Nuff said. Good night.
Yesterday I couldn't get the 310 miles for 4 Quaker and 4 Tropicana/Propel, only 230. Worked last weekend, but the 80 wouldn't double to 160. So I removed the "other" PINs and took 40 + 150 = 190 for the 4 Quaker PINs.
Tropicana is $2.49 at Loblaws this week.
And not one carton left on the shelf at the Ottawa South Keys store today.
There are 2 concurrent promotions.
First one:
Double points for entering
1 Tropicana + 1 Quaker PIN or
1 Tropicana + 1 Propel PIN or
1 Propel + 1 Quaker PIN
for a total of 20 + 20 = 40 points per pair of products
Second one:
100 bonus Aeroplan miles for entering bonus code TX79WA3N with 3 Quaker PINs (Tropicana and Propel not included).
So the way to maximize your points is to enter 6 PINs at a time. 3 Quaker PINs (cereal or granola bar) + 3 Tropicana or Propel PINs in the same transaction.
This will generate 30 (Quaker) + 100 (bonus code) + 30 (Tropicana/Propel) + 60 bonus (for double pts) for a total of 220 pts. I just did this, and it worked. If you do it 5 times which is the max allowed, you will get 1100 miles. To buy 1100 miles from Aeroplan, it would cost you $33 (@ 3 cpm), so for a few extra bucks, you get a whole bunch of groceries too.
Guess I'll be throwing a few granola bars in the food bank collection bins this weekend! :D
That's a lot of OJ. Just imagine how well you could have done if they'd sold Margarita Mix. ;)
LOL ^^
Okay, I am not the "pudding guy", but is anyone else racking up the miles with this promo?
You can get Quaker Life, Corn Bran, etc... for $2.48 each and Oatmeal-to-Go Squares for $1.98 each @ Superstore. That's $4.46 for 70 miles, or 6.4 cpm. With coupon (there is a .50 cent one for Life cereal) brings the total to $3.96 or 5.7 cpm.
The cpm is not great when compared to actual Mileage Running, but ateast here you are getting an eatable product!
Anyone know when the next Globe & Mail promo code will be published? It seems with each promo code published the bonus miles are increasing? Does anyone think that the next bonus miles will be higher than 50?
Now, just to get through all of this cereal:)
Anybody got the 150 Bonus code from the Tangerine newletter?
From the Breakfastcentral.ca web site:
