Whenever I try and cut and paste from another document into the main one I am working on I get an error message stating "There are too many edits in the document. This operation will be incomplete. Save your work." I have tried save, save as, closing and reopening word, and rebooting the pc. I have also tried most suggetions I have found in google groups. Any suggestions from you guys? Tried that and it worked for a couple of edits, but then started giving me the error message again.

Sounds like you might have track changes turned ON, but you're not viewing them? What's your version of Word?
Did you try File-->Open, hit the tools and choose "repair doc" (or whatever it is) and open it? Do that to a copy of your doc. :)
