Are you supposed to tip the tattoo artist or does it vary from place to place?
It's not expected, but it's definitely appreciated! :)
Yes!!!! You tip!!! But make sure you like the work. My tattoo artist went above and beyond with my tattoo, so for a $170 tattoo I gave her a $60 tip. Believe, you don't want to mess with a tattoo artist, and frankly, they deserve it.
depends on how long it takes. i would tip. at least kick down like a twenty or something.
It's like any other service so yes! Just like getting your nails or your hair done. They provided a service...even though you paid for the service, you still show how much you appreciated it.
Depending on the tattoo, I have always tipped the artist if I am really happy with their work on me. Anywhere from $10 for a small one, to $30 for a larger one.
yes you should tip... but if you don't want to give cash, bake them cookies... they will love that...
my wife is a tattoo artist..its a nice thing to do but you dont have to all the time..most shops when you work for them they take 60-50 percent of what you make so they dont get but half if that of what you pay for a tattoo..and if they do a good job it would be nice to tip them..like for a $100 tattoo tip like 5-10 bucks..it doesnt have to be a whole lot..
Yes, definitely. Most people don't, but it makes a good impression. I always slip my artist a $20. Especially if they drew the piece just for you... It's not expected, but much appreciated.
Tips are usually given after long sittings.
Smaller tattoos, not so much....it's a
personal choice...some do, some don't.
At tattoo shops, tips are always appreciated. It let's the artist know that you like your work.
Most tattoo artists don't take home everything that you pay them, so tipping helps them out, and when you show up for your touch up and more work you'll be remembered as someone who was thoughtful enough to tip.
Do you tip your hair-dresser? Do you tip the person who does your nails? 'Nuff said.
i don't know where you live but in australia no way they get enough money in the first place for doing a tattoo without being tipped
20% is customary, like at a restaurant.
You dont have to...but its a nice idea.
I prefer to use word of mouth to get them more business....but thats just me!
I've heard some sort of myth about getting sick after tattoo... is it true?
