  • ok so i got my tattoo done last friday (its on my inside wrist) ive been using bepanthen since then 4 times a day as well as washing it twice a day

today i thought i would stop using the bepanthen so this morning i just washed it and patted it dry and didnt put anything on it

but later on in the day (like a couple of hours after washing it) it was very dry and it seems to have cracked a little is my tattoo ******?

so i got to my mam and dads and i put on some E45 cream and it seemed to soak in straight away so i put on some more half an hour later and its only if i put a lot on that it seems ok, if i dont it seems to soak in and my tattoo feels tight

  • You should keep something on it until it's completely healed. While a tattoo is healing if it becomes overly dry it will crack just like you said, these cracks can cause varations in the color after it's healed and even cause larger thicker scabs since a lot of times the cracks will ooze a little. Even after it's healed the skin there will be delicate, it's important to keep it moisturized.

  • A wrist tattoo is rough healing. I have one. What is REALLY good to use is Aquaphor, you can find it in any drug store. Apply that a few times a day. A very thin layer, until the tattoo is completley healed. Your tattoo is not ****** because it is cracking, and feeling tight. Mine did that as well. You might have to get it re coloured, but it is no big deal. The wrist is a very rough spot to heal on, since it is almost always in motion.
    I hope this helps!

  • No, you're not ******. I've always used baby rash stuff. I get the generic kind @ Walmart. Don't over do it. You don't want to slop the stuff on; a thin layer will suffice. Your gonna have to let it air out from time to time and it will get dry. It's just the healing process. Don't keep it covered either. You really need the air to heal. Make sure the cream you're using is a clear/yellowish color. Or, you can get bacitracin from the store. Just use thin layers and you'll be fine.

  • Any ideas on what to add to my tattoo?
