I went to the dentist yesterday and had two teeth taken out. They gave me injections to numb it, so I couldn't feel half of my bottom lip. I got some new guitar strings on the way back from the dentist, and I was stringing my guitar when I got back and I was absent-mindedly chewing on my lip when I was concentrating. Because it was numb, I couldn't feel myself biting it.

Now half of my bottom lip is seriously swollen. It's really uncomfortable, and it's starting to look almost like a blister too. I put some ice on it yesterday and it has gone down ever so slightly, but it's still huge and I'm going to a concert tomorrow and I look like an absolute freak.

dont ice your lips. they are alot softer than anyother part in da body and u may b hrming them by change of temp. Use blistex or summat.
I did the same thing.. bloody dentist numbing drugs.. Atleast you didnt bite hard enough to cut your lip like i did..
Keep icing it... It might be swollen for a few days though...

Keep icing it, and take an anti-inflammatory. You also might want to try chap stick, blistex, or something similar to keep your lip moisturized and promote healing.
It shouldn't take too long to heal. Swelling usually goes down dramatically within 2 days.
