Let's put it this way I took off work for the 500, I didn't for the Super Bowl even though I was offered the night off, and my team won it(it worked out though there's a TV at work, and it was the night we were switching out register systems, so I watched the 4th quarter). I have to say this ;I really love football .I played through elementary school all the way to high school. I went to LSU but didn't play . I have been to 2 Superbowls here in Louisiana . So sorry but I have to say The Daytona 500 without a question !!!!

i would choose the 500. If it does happen the Football game will have to be on the west coast with a kick off time after the checkered flag so it would be a win win for all of us. We could watch the race and not have to go though all the hours of pregame stuff.
As far as I am concerned restrictor plate racing is not really racing; it is very micky-mouse. Just look at the types of drivers who have won on those tracks, Micheal Waltrip, Jamie McMurray... Anyways, I love Nascar but Daytona does nothing for me...SUPER BOWL.
