sometimes at a red light when i hit the gas the car rev's and don't really go, then jumps into gear and takes off.
i thought it was a transmission problem, but when someone i know drove it (he used to work on cars) came back he said it didn't happen at all and it goes pretty smoothly into gear for an older car. he then told me to check the fuel injectors, they may be clogged.
my questions are does it sound like it could be a fuel injector? and if so what do i do to fix or unclog them?
thanks
I would stick to your first diagnosis..it probably is the transmission, check the fluid, make sure there is enough, and make sure you arnt leaking any fluid either...
if it was the fuel injector, then your car probably wouldnt rev up so easily..
Most definitely NOT the Injectors. More likely It Is the transmission, more likely It a Fluid problem. But with the lose of fluid the problem should happen all the time. Quite possibly Its an Internal transmission problem like say a pressure regulator valve which is inside the trans and if It malfunctions causes a pressure leak. Too technical? Try taking It to a Tranny shop. If I remember correctly the Celica has an Electronic Component to Its functionality. Good Luck
My gear shift thing has a hard time shifting. What's the problem?
