i'm running the 09-09 cvs build

i'm having a problem with some .ty files streamed from my dtivo s2 playing under xbmc. i'm about half and half working and not working. i have 3 non-working scenarios: 1) i just get audio and the menu continues to work and i can select something else or hit stop and the audio stops. 2) i get a momentary sound glitch, it goes to a black screen, and xbmc locks up and requires a reboot. 3) the gui momentairly freezes like it's about to play something and then the title goes back to scrolling left to right again.

when the files do play they work very well and i can seek throughout the stream without problems.

when i use the tivo-mplayer windows version mplayer-0.90rc4-tivo-0.16 i can play every stream without a problem.

i've tried getting the latest cvs xbmc mplayer code and compiling the dll but i have the same results.

is there any way to turn on debugging info for mplayer? i set the xbmc log to 0, but it only gives info on what file xbmc is telling mplayer to play.

thanks ezar2003, someone in #xbmc sent me a link to that build last night. i tried it and had the same results. i'll post the log file results shortly.

can anyone at least confirm they're seeing the same issue i'm seeing with the different .ty files i've provided?

a) for debug mplayer add * true (you can add after loglevel) post results here.
b) i compile last mplayer cvs (not pre5) [not in xbmc cvs]... if you can test it... download here (http://www.telefonica.net/web2/ezarzone/mplayer.rar)

i've been gone a couple of weeks on vacation and just got back.

can someone suggest where i should go next to try and get a resolution to the issue i am having? should i raise this in the mplayer forums?

just ran into a couple of different streams today that will start very slowly and once they do start only the audio plays and i can see the visualizations going but never see the video.

here are the first 5mb of 3 different shows. the 50 first dates plays fine. the sga-home freezes for a second like it wants to play but then does nothing. the sga-underground will flash to black and then back to the menu screen. all 3 play fine with the tivo-mplayer here: http://tivo-mplayer.sourceforge.net/

i've experimented with streaming the ty files direct from the tivo using ccxstream and also extracted to a smb share and i see the same symptoms with both.

Can I delete Windows update files?::
doesnt work out -- it may conflict with some software you have other and still dont know what cause it and what do i do to solve this problem i

here is a log file from the last stream that locks up xbmc hard playing in the mplayer-tivo that i have installed on my pc.

one difference for sure is that the mplayer-tivo on my pc is using vserver to stream the file from the tivo and xbmc uses ccxstream. i'm using the latest s2 version of ccxstream.

is there any way to take the source here (which is the code that my working mplayer was compiled from):

and compile it as the mplayer.dll that xmbc needs to see if that resolves the issue that i'm seeing? i was able to compile it into a .exe but i don't know how to get it into the .dll that xbmc needs.

first stream i just get the audio after a long wait.

seond stream it flashes a black screen for a second and then goes back to the menu

third stream scrolling stops on the title for a second and then starts scrolling again

fourth stream flashes to a black screen, glitch of audio, and then hard lock.
