and how often do u have to get them redone
Hi, Ok theres many different kinds of extensions you can get.
The basic cheap ones are glue on, or sown in (weave). These last about a month, are not comfy to wear and look ratty after a week.
No, you cant get them at most salons, bu go around ask a few, you'll find one.
You would have to die your hair first, extensions can only be died darker, and you can only die remy hair.
Yes, they will make your hair longer and thicker.
They do require some extra care. Its best to only wash 2-3 per week. Oil free products are best. You can style as usual but always use a leave in conditioner, hair transplant - GupShup Forums:: 20 posts - 11 authors - Last post: Nov 10, 2008Does somebody now how much it cost to do a hair transplant in I like you post. Than you have more expensive ones. There is Fusion, and Microlinks.
Fusion is bonded to your hair with a hot glue, this is damaging, and you have a risk of going near bald if done incorrectly.
Microlinks are attatched using a small bead, the extension and your hair go thru the little bead and it is then clamped down real tight. This is not damaging, and its easy to remove. Not only that, the hair is reusable, and if you dont want to take them out, you simply move the bead up and your good to go for another 4-6 months.
Microlinks are better all round.
Fusion lasts around 4 months, and micrlinks is 4-6.
Fusion hair is not reusable.
To do microlinks you need I-tipped hair. The best hair to get is Remy human hair. It looks natural and feels great, and you treat it like your natural hair.
For cost it really depends. If your buying your hair from the person doing it, for fusion or microlinks expect to pay anywhere from 700-1400.
For weave and glue, no more than 600.
If you want to cut costs, the best bet is to buy your hair online and get someone to put them in. Doing it this will save hundreds.

BTW, clip ins ar the easiest, cheapest and best extensions, they only take 2 mins to put in, they look natural and do not damage. I have had all kinds of extensions, and despite what people say, they are all damaging, except clip ins. So if your new to extensions, i recommend clip ins first
hey i really want hair extensions too!! They cost near a $100 i think. and you have to get them redone every 6 months. and totally go for it. Anyway, even if you don't like them you could ask the hair dresser to just take it out..but ofcourse, you have to wait about a month for that. just wear a hat or pull your hair into a ponytail or something if you don't like it---okay, good luck!
Did you ever notice celebrities flashing really long and flowing hair all of a sudden? They get this done with the right blend of hair color extensions to match their own hair, read more here http://www.easygrooming.com/guide-to-hai...
