I have created templates that use a number of user defined styles in Word 2003. One of these styles is an outline numbering style that lays out the text as:
1. Point A
a) Point 1a
b) Point 1b
2. Point B etc
The styles work fine in documents created by the template and old documents where the new template has been attached and the styles applied. I have an issue when we create an autotext entry for several paragraphs that use different levels of the outline numbering and then use that autotext in another document (also based on the same original template.) The list loses the numbering of the 2nd, 3rd, 4th levels of outline numbering, but maintains their indents. The only way to fix it is to reapply outline numbering and then reindent again to the appropriate level.

Occassionally the same thing happens when I copy and paste from one document to another, but it is inconsistent! (I have tried things like checking that the paragraph marks are included when copying and pasting, and when creating the autotext.)

Once the numbering has messed up in the document once, I need to undo, save and close before even pasting into the document will correctly number again.
Anyone else had this problem?
