How about Citibank's $200 deal? Would'nt that be better?
The $50 bonus deal at Bank of America is still good through 9/30/2005. Check pgary' site for the link.
How about Citibank's $200 deal? Would'nt that be better?
I think the Citibank deal has expired (as of yesterday I couldn't find a current link).
But why not do them all if you have the funds available?
From what I can tell, Bank of America requires $100 minimim to fund an online account application, otherwise $250 minimum to fund an account at a branch. Beware of the $5.50 monthly fee (at least in Calif.) if you don't set up a direct deposit.
How about Citibank's $200 deal? Would'nt that be better?
Possibly - not sure I'm familiar with which deal you're referring to. Citibank has a few of them IIRC. However, this one is for Bank of America - so even if you're doing the Citibank deal, you can still do this one.
Setup a $25 monthly transfer into a checking account, and BofA will wave the monthly fees.
Also, their On-line Bill Pay works great, and is free!
Basically there are two offers as follows:
Citibank $200 offer (http://citi.bridgetrack.com/cbol/200_offer/CK57/Default.htm?BT_TX=1)
Min. Deposit: $1,500 in a Regular Checking Account
Tier 1 Req.: 2 Bill Payments for 3 Months, Receive $100
Tier 2 Req.: 2 Bill Payments for an additional 12 Months, Receive $100
Notes: Each Billpay has to be more than $20 each.
Second offer is ipod shuffle (http://citi.bridgetrack.com/cbol/iPod/1500/2BP12MM/default.htm?Promo_ID=CK59&BT_TX=1) which is
Min. Deposit: $1,500 in an EZ Checking Account
Tier 1 Req.: 2 Bill Payments within 1st Month, Receive iPod Shuffle 512MB (or equivalent) within 90 days.
Tier 2 Req.: Continute 2 Bill Payments for 12 Months total, Obligations for free iPod complete.
Thoughts: An EZ Checking account has a $1,500 minimum balance requirement otherwise they will charge you fees. If you're paying small bills (that won't be more than $1,000 over 12 months, then depositing the minimum of $2,500 will be enough. Also, an iPod Shuffle retails at Amazon.com for only $99.99 so it might be worth it to do the $200 promotion and just buy your own Shuffle
