P6:: Every time I see her shes picked up something new. Wanna have Her black hair was combed straight back, held off her face by a black velvet headband. http://www.uberabode.com/M/Meagher/B1/P6.htmHOME | My 11 yo niece has long curly hair. Every morning I have to get on her about brushing and combing her hair. Last night, I told her to wash her hair and I combed it out for her. It took hours! She had a big ball of curled up knotted hair right in the middle of her head! It looked like a bird's nest. I asked "does she comb her hair everyday?" and she said "just the top". I asked her why she don't comb it all of the way through. She said because it hurts. This morning, I had to get on her about combing her hair again. I did it this morning because she wasn't going to. She has beautiful hair when it is kept up. VoyForums: 2007 Miss Kentucky Pageant Unofficial Message Board:: She is not but Marcias children are Kaitlynnes dads blood niece/nephews so Lyns hair and I liked Heathers hair one night when it was not combed back. http://voy.com/176785/HOME |
What's a less painful way of combing curly hair? I've been trying detangler and that helps a little but she still cries when it is done. How can I get her to take care of her hair?
P.S. My niece is a mixed ethnicity. She has that long curly silky hair. It's not kinky.
My daughter is also mixed ethnicity (Eurasian) with hair down to her bottom.
I have finally worked out what works for her hair. As I shampoo her hair I gently work the strands apart. Then I comb her hair after putting the conditioner in.....a wide tooth comb is better for this. I also plait her hair when she sleeps.
well i have the same kind of hair. im mixed too (puertorican & black) but, the best way she can handle this hair is by combing it out everyonce in a while. the easiest way to do it. is everytime she washes her hair, put conditioner and comb it out with the conditioner. it makes the hair silkier and easier to get through. you need to tell her if she doesnt comb her hair often it damages her hair and it was just start shedding.
try an afro comb, it has much wider spaces between the tines, this shouldnt hurt as much :)
I have a 10 yo daughter with the same issues. We have tried different shampoos/conditioners, detanglers, different kinds of brushes and combs. What we have found works best is to comb through it right after washing and conditioning her hair, while the hair is still wet. We also found that braiding her hair at night helps to cut down on the tangles.
Good luck....and I feel your pain!
Do you think I'm being selfish and cold hearted?
Peeing a lot! help plzz its so annoying!?
