maybe its not hungry~sometimes they can go a while w/o eating...but if u have the means,make sure u are offering a variety to the diet. Try switching it up day by day w/flakes,freeze~dried shrimp,shrimp pellets, etc...maybe too try some fresh zucchini cut&quartered then scewed...place in the tank~fish love this fresh treat&good for them too!
Weight gain::
My question only concerns weight gain. Can you gain more WEIGHT than the weight I'm sure too that if you've ever owned a goldfish, you know exactly what

I know w/my fish that i've had and still have they like to change what they like to eat all the time! Just imagine having to be stuck in a tank and eat the same thing day after day...they get bored and sick of the same ol same ol thing....

Do you think there could possibly something wrong w/ur fish? Like sickness or disease? That might be an issue too...
1 you are feeding it to much
2 you are cleaning his tank to regularly
3 you have the wrong type of water in the tank
4 change food
5 check temperature
that means there is something wrong, goldfishes have a iching to eat to death. Try a different food or you're gonna see it die.
