My 3 month pup is all ready starting to hump things is there any thing that I can do to stop this behavior? We do plane on getting him fixed but he is too young as of yet. HELP
What a horny little devil!!
Maybe when he tries to hump something just tell him off?
NO!!
GET OFF MY LEG!!
Post below me.
What I said just scientifically!
just keep removing he from whatever he's humping and firmly tell him ''no-leave it'',if you do this every time you see him humping he should pick up quickly that you don't want him doing that, puppies are smart,he needs to be fixed i had all mine done at 4 mos and i had one done at 3 1/2 mos.he should be able to get fixed soon
tell him no firmly yet not too aggresively every time you see him start to hump and that should work i personally have never had that problem and i have 3 males that have not nor ever will be fixed and none of them have ever attempted to hump after being told once firmly no so hope this helps

That seems odd. I have a 3 months old puppy, she's a Boxer/Aussie mix, and she's fixed alright.
If you don't want him to do these things just gently take him off of the item he is humping, and look in his eyes. With a stern and determined voice say "No!", but don't yell! This will make him afraid to do this in front of you, which might make him try to do it in hideaway places. If he goes back to the item, just place it too somewhere he can't get it. Make sure you tell him "No!" each and every time. He will soon understand. Dogs are very intelligent and quick learners. Beanie of the Month:: Retired 9-3-03. Make sure he's getting enough attention from you, and your family.
Maybe he is humping things to entertain himself, because no-one has entertained him.
Good Luck!!
It is normal for puppies to hump at that age, especially unneutered males. Puppies have a lot of extra hormones, so it is very normal. Also, humping is a sign of dominance in the dog world, so it should not be allowed. Scold him when he starts doing it, and if he starts doing it to you, get up and walk away. It should help a lot when he is fixed.
hahah horny lil thing....what breed is it?
This is normal behavior for any breed or sex. Just training. A little swat w/rolled up newspaper...not hard, it is the noise that makes the difference. Should help. You could even just smack your own hand w/the paper and say NO in a very firm voice.
First off, get him neutered â “ for his sake if not yours. Unless he is a top show dog or working example of his breed, then having him sire a litter is not necessary. There are also costs involved with a dog used for breeding as not only does he have to have his championship in the show ring but also has to have his hips, eyes and heart all tested for genetic defaults before anyone would offer up their ***** to him. At least any reputable breeder anyway but that is a soap box for another day.
If you really must have a litter out of him, have him â ˜storedâ ™. There are vets that specialize in reproduction and many have â ˜sperm banksâ ™. It is a little costly to have done but the benefit is having an easy altered pet in the house that can still father a litter.
There are additional benefits as well with the decrease in the chance of him developing testicular cancer is now nil and the chance of prostate cancer is greatly reduced.
It can take three months for the hormones to get out of his system after neutering but most dogs stop humping things much sooner then that. If he continues to do it, teach him that it is not an acceptable behavior. Keep a leash on him around company and when he tries to hump or mount someone, give him a sharp correction and a stern â ˜No!â ™. A spray bottle of water can help dissuade him as well and be firm, he will figure it out.
How much does getting a small tattoo on your hip/stomach hurt?
Do anyone else have an itchy anus? ?
