are you on when your child is up and playing?
or only when they are sleeping or in the care of another?
ive seen a lot of answers, the most recent a few min ago, assuming that the mother was neglecting her child by being on here.
sophie is up, but daddy starts work at 1pm - so this week the morning time is his, then she will nap for about 90min around 1.30pm. then she will be in bed around 7.30-8pm. so i do have quite a lot of free time.
i received an email once slating me for being on here and telling me i was a bad mother ofr leaving my child to ''roam the house'' and that all she had was independent play. it just seems that people assume far too much, and i doubt many mothers on here would compromise their own child to answer questions about someone elses child.
Marks wife I am so jealous/ Sleeping since 8pm WOW. Mine oddly is a sleep. Been a sleep since midnight. I'm awake its 3:14 am because usually he is still awake. I think he is getting back into his routine. Yes my determination payed off. YAY. Don't get on computer during day just at night when son is in crib "suppose" to be sleeping
its 9.34 am here in the UK i have taken my son to school fed my daughter and she is now fast asleep in my arm while the other arm is on Y/A lol
I do my housework at 10am then have time with DD id never neglect my children i must admit i do try and make time for Y/A mainly in the evening when hubby's at home as i think it's very important to find a little time for yourself when your a busy mum, i live over 100 miles away from friends and family so Y/A is great i love it
and the one's who slate other mum's makes me laugh as they must be snooping around on here to know who's doing what and when lol
I'm usually on when my daughter is playing on her own or napping. And after i've done my housework.
And I come on in the evening when my hubby is playing with our daughter.
It's fun for killing time.
I always put my daughter first.
thats discusting!! mums need time to themselves else theyll go mad!im on and my lil boy is sat happily playin with his toys! if he wasnt happy then id *** off but hes fine. hes not in danger. children need to no that they cant have ur attention 24/7! apart frm the days i work i take him out sumwhre eveyday.its only mornings that im on here!im a great mum! even if i wasnt on here id b sat on the sofa watchin cartoons wile my lil boy plays so y not!
Poppy is currently snoozing in her cot but even if she was awake and I wanted to come on Y!A, it wouldn't make me a bad Mother as long as she was safe, occupied and knew that Mummy was here. Assumption is a terrible thing, as is jealousy which is what half of the people on here have. I come on here when she is sleeping, in bed at night or her Dad has her and even if I was on here 24 hours a day, it really isn't anyone elses business.
I'm not a mum obviously im only 15!
but my brothers girlfriend goes on yahoo all the time and she gets slated but her daughter is like nearly 2 and never leaves the living room so her mum is always keeping an eye on her.

I mainly come on here when my 7month old daughter is asleep..mainly at night time as she is in bed between 5:30 and 6:30 and is out till 7/8 in the mornin so I have a lot of night free time...but sometiems in the day like today as she naps for 2hrs in the morn
Right now it's 1:08 a.m in California and my lil' boy is fast asleep [he went to bed at 8:00pm] .. I'm just on here killing time while my hubby is playing video games in the front room.
During the day when I'm on, my son is either taking a nap .. or playing with his toys next to me [and my husband is at School.]
I use the lap top during the day and type from the couch .. and at night [like right now] I use the desk top.
I never compromise my time with my son to come on here. He's either playing right next to me .. or asleep.
It's fun for killing time while he plays with his toys.
As much as I love playing with all his toys, I do get bored of that .. and that's where Yahoo! Answers comes in.
I come on here right after I get the 'Traffic Report for the Rainbow Bridge' .. lol. <-- he has a toy that says this over and over and over.
'It's bumper to bumper on the Rainbow Bridge' .. then I listen to 'Alphabet Radio.' .. and some 'Rockin' Robin' .. then I come on here.
YUP. that's my day! =]
sometimes hes playing, sometimes he's sleeping......whatever he's doing, i'm on yahoo.....
......but he is still in my belly. lol.
I'm currently 38wks pregnant with my 1st child and still working. I use Y!A's to help pass away the time!

Where I live it's just past 11am and my little angel is having her mid morning nap. I've just put her lunch on to cook so I've got 20 mins of relax time, it's either have a look on here or clean the bathroom!
I wouldn't pay any attention to those people who say you're neglecting your child by coming on here. (maybe they're only judging other people by their own standards? After all, unless you had done it yourself at some point it wouldn't occur to you to accuse other people without real evidence, would it?)

My daughter is at school. I'm childminder and have a one year old napping and I am having a cup of tea. I wouldn't be on here 'neglecting' the children I care for. Why do people always presume the worst of people? It's sad and pessimistic.
I always come on when Addyson is asleep usually at night time and whn my hubby is home, its 8:15pm here in aus, sometimes I come on iin the morning but usually addyson is lying next to me on the bed while i check emails etc and i have my lap top in bed, addyson wouldnt let me surf the net if she was up she wants me to constantly be near her or playing with her
I am usually on here, when either A. child is napping or B. child is occupied by something else or someone else. But I do not but the computer before my daughter, if I happen to jump on here when she is awake, the minute she talks to me or ask for something my attention is on her.. I want to be example to her that even though I am doing something that i will still respond to her, and like wise if she is busy and I ask her that she will respond to me aswell. Its around 1 am where I am in, and my daughter is in bed for the night.. But my theory "to each their own"

i only come on here when kids are asleep, now DD is at preschool and my DS is in bed, i need my 10 mins sitting down doing not a lot.
well seeing as its 3am where i live, my kids are asleep, i am dealing with pregnancy insomnia. thats the only time i really get a chance on here. unless the little one is napping while big sister is at school. (usually im napping too.
Usually i go on when my son sleeps or when my husband is playing with him. Occasionally i will take a little look whilst my son is feeding (breastfed). So no neglecting here...
my baby is having his morning nap. been up since 5am so i am on here for a bit of stress release. oh poo. he just woke up so i shall shove him in front of barney lol.
I only come on YA when I'm at work. Very rarely, I may come on when I'm at home, but that's ONLY if he's sleeping.
holly is 6 months and naps for 30mins (sometimes) at 9am...45mins at 12 (ish) and 30mins at 2pm....then bed at 7pm....the internet is mine for all the nap times and after 7pm i let my partner stay on it instead and i watch t.v :)
although recently holly has only been napping for 20mins so my y/a time is being cut down :( and id feel far to guilty playing on here and ignoring her....so maybe soon i will take the internet of mat at 7pm..hehe..x
I'm only on when he's sleeping. He's only just under two weeks old, so tends to sleep alot anyway. When he's awake more I'll be on here alot less.
I'm usually coming on Q&A when the baby is in bed after 8pm. Right now, He's having a nap so I can have a bit of free time.
But when his dad is looking after him, he usually let him be on the floor while he's playing on blooming World of Warcraft on his laptop.

Don't pay attention to emails like that. That person is most likely in a different time zone then you, so has no clue what time of day it is when you are on. I come on here sporadically during the day-while the kids are still sleeping in the morning (like right now the babies are still sleeping, and james just went to pre-school, it's 8 am) then usually while theyre eating breakfast and taking naps, and the i'll check back in between while they are playing sometimes too. In no way do I neglect my children-I have 3 ages 3 and under, so believe me, Im pretty busy here.
That's troll snipe that, they use it in other categories as well. Of course you aren't neglecting your child to come into the Pregnancy and Parenting Section. You know your child is being looked after and that's your business.
You know you are a good mummy, ignore the trolls they have no right to talk about things they know so little about.
And if you are neglecting your child in their opinion then why are they on Answers? They must be neglecting theirs too if that is the case.
I've wondered myself what mummy's must think if they see me on here too often!
I'm usually on YA during the morning while I check my emails and go online to do stuff I need to do (pay bills etc)
Afternoons I have no routine as such, some days I stay in some days not
Evenings I go on YA because I'm more relaxed once her dad is home from work and everything is organised.
It's a nice day where I am, so me and little one are going out and i'm un plugging this thing now!
It's 10am here and Emily is *still* asleep. She's having 13 hours straight (bless her). Next time I'll be here will probably be around 3pm when she will go for her nap. I'm usually not on Y!A if she's awake, unless someone else is watching her.Unless I have something urgent to ask :D
Also people are always willing to give some nasty comments. I wish I had all the free time they have on my hands.
Only when she sleeps and in the evening when my hubby takes over and I have roughly 1 hour to myself before I hit the hay...
