I'm not an expert at this, but I've always been intrigued by it. How does one go about finding MRs out of MSY?Dream Maps are a good start, otherwise FareCompare will work quite well also. I see some $193 to SEA, quite a few < $100 to Florida as well from MSY.
The sticky is great as far as it goes, but it quickly became overwhelming to try to take in all of the information. I actually look for little hints in the mileage run forum and then brute force try and see if there are any ex-MSY runs for dates I want. It is a little easier for me because I don't like pure runs. I try to fit in some actual tourism on the run. Here is part one of a MR I did in late February for around 52,000 miles:
