Welcome to:hznm.com

  • It comes out to a little over $450 USD. I have been waiting for DL to drop these fares. There are a ton on Y seats on their 764s. The Domestic F cabin is being sold as Y too. Looks like it's available in July and August. T fares only. Nice cheap fare to Europe - catch a cheap LCC onward!
    Enjoy,
    SR
EDIT: GOOD FOR DUB and SNN TOO!!!

Very nice indeed for the peak season, especially if you can sit up front.

  • This is a GREAT FARE considering that anything else across the pond would be at least twice as much. You can catch great low fares on many LCCs from the UK too.

  • ITA prices these (outbound JFK:: DL+, return MAN:: DL+) at $469 with a 1 night stay on 7/1, 7/7, 7/8 & 7/29.

    Incredible for midsummer!

  • I believe the 764s are configured with 24 F seats, right?

A 764's seat configuration includes 36 FC seats in rows 1-7.

Domestic 763s and mainline 757s have 24 FC seats.

  • Question is can anyone book the upfront cabin or onlyDL elites? What about CO elites?
Yes, you have to call though. CO's match is only thru mid june.

DL.com shows a seat map the page before you have to enter your credit card.

  • $494 all in from BOS, leaving 7/12, returning 7/18. How does one get a seat in first at this price? When I priced it as first class ticket the cost was $4500+.

    see post #5

  • There was a thread in the DL thread stating that rows 3, 6, and 7 are blocked for gate use on the TATL flights. Unfortunately, I can't find it.
    Hello
Which airlines - other than Delta - will allow you elite status to open the seats in rows 1 thru 7 on these Delta flights to Man?
Also, if you book on Delta.com how will it know you are elite with another Skyteam partner? Do you have to call in the reservation and pay the extra $15?

  • The 764s for DL transatlantic are all one class, so Medallions are able to reserve a seat on international flights in what would normally be the F section domestically while paying only the T fare.

  • Just booked LAX-MAN for $573 all in. This saves me so much money since I have to be in England for a conference in early July and other airlines into London are about twice this fare. I called DL to add my NW number and they put me up front on the 764s to/from MAN. Awesome deal.

I just spoke with Delta supervisor who says those planes are now re-configured as ALL coach seats. So apparantly even if u in front cabin, it is coach seating only. No biz seats.

  • Incredible for midsummer!

Not incredible, but a very good fare. In the past several months, there have been a couple of "all in" summer fares to Europe reported here for less than $350. I know, because I'm holding one. :)

That said, the odds at this point that you can cross the Pond for less this summer are small.

  • First post here - been lurking awhile. I got the USD388+ w/ Jul 14 thru Jul 17 for a quick weekend.

  • $573 all in for SFO-JFK-MAN-JFK-SFO leaving 6/30 and returning 7/4.

The extra $100 to go from SFO-JFK is a nice add-on for the extra miles obtained.

  • Why would they reconfigure the 764s' front cabin to all economy, when they fly other routes that need a premium cabin? The seatmap shows that it's the same seating that the 764s have to/from Hawaii, with the rows jumping from 7 to 10 where coach starts. I'm sure the seats are the same as domestic first, but are sold as coach...which I'm assuming means coach service as well. Maybe I'm wrong, but that seems to be the case from the booking I made and speaking with reservations after I had booked.

  • Just book JFK-MAN, $471 all in July 18-25. From the available seats in the seat map, it looks like a number of the seats in the front cabin were blocked off... leaving just 24 seats total (although hard to tell without knowing how many seats had already been reserved). I believe the 764s are configured with 24 F seats, right? (I've grown accustomed to the Song 757s.)

My guess is that those are all domestic first seats that will get coach service, but a little extra legroom... and some leather.

Didn't DL mention this in a press release a while back? Something about first-class seats being sold as coach across the Atlantic for the summer. I think it was pretty vague about how you could score them, though.

Anyway, it would be nice to have final clarification on this.

I'm guessing your fares were booked months ago w/winter fares that mistakenly had no season restrictions?

I agree that for a fare like this to be released in May is rather surprising, especially given the high loads everyone's predicting for the summer.

  • Call make the reservation, then call DL. They will let any SkyTeam elite book into thosae seats.

  • It looks like this is good for departures through July but not August.

Looks like CO matched for EWR-MAN, X fare.

  • There was a thread in the DL thread stating that rows 3, 6, and 7 are blocked for gate use on the TATL flights. Unfortunately, I can't find it.

  • I guess if that were true, it would be a Transcon TED. I bet Elites would be puking on themselves if that were true.

  • I fared it at about $474 all in. No mileage run, but if you know somebody who lives near one of these airports and REALLY wants to cross the pond this summer (and who hasn't already snagged a deal), this is a good fare. I just priced CO from EWR a couple days ago and they were about twice the price.

It's also helpful that DL is offering this 7 days a week, and there seem to be plenty of seats.

  • OK so here's what I can't figure out. CO's "base" price is about $30 lower than DL's. But once you add in the taxes/fees on their own website, you get to the *exact* same price. How can they do this???

Also, availability on the DUB/SNN flights seems way down from the last time I checked.
That's how CO is . . . they are very schrewd. The knock down thier fellow SkyTeam partner's service. Anyway, they do this a lot - they now switched their website and Orbitz to show pre tax prices in BOLD. Then they zip you with "Taxes".

I believe that is correct (although I obviously don't know what they were thinking). If you are flexible (ie, you'll fly to any city in Western Europe) and vigilant, you can usually get a "winter fare" for summer travel. It's really the only way I'll take my family to Europe in summer, because otherwise I find it too expensive.

FWIW, last year I didn't get my summer tickets to Switzerland ($350 all in) until May, so hope springs eternal for frugal procrastinators. I have a hunch there could be some more European bargains -- particularly for August -- coming down the pike. But it's obviously not something you can bank on.

I think I heard that US was operating some European flights the same way this summer. Somebody in the media should do a story about it, and compile a list.

Strange that the airlines would do this, instead of trying to sell a discount biz class fare (you'd think they could make more money than the food and drink would cost that way). CO always discounts bizfirst in summer.

Domestic F cabin? How are you able to book this? I'm pulling up a business fare of around $2,500 for mid-July (just picking a random mid-week date).

  • I dont think you can get 1st unless you have Delta status.

  • This fare is also available to DUB and SNN in addition to MAN.
It is officially listed as $199 one way.

  • With a lot of expansion, some flights will have low advanced bookings. They will not get a plane full of the expected yields. The prices may drop, but probablly not much after Memorial Day.
    SR
PS - There may be some nice routings too!

  • I'm Silver on DL and did my pricing while logged into my Skymiles account, but at no point did a seat map come up. Maybe it now only comes up after you pay for the seat, but in the past you could check the seat map before committing to the ticket. Maybe this is related to the MQM display that's been out of commission for the last couple of weeks.

  • I just priced this for the end of August. Lowest fare I find is $1726.29 in an M class. No other fares are showing up, and it is an all coach flight.

    I see no T fares

  • I dont think you can get 1st unless you have Delta status.

I just booked - but not confirmed - a sample itinerary at the $388+ fare and got a seat map offering seats in all rows - including row 1. But, it appeared to be no difference between cabins in terms of seats - with 2-3-2 in rows 1 thru 14 as well as in back cabins.
Maybe u can sit up in front cabin, but no business seating????
    Could this be true?
