So I was suppose to be induced today at 6am, but last night the hospital called and said they were too full so I had to reschedule for Friday. Well my husband had already taken off Tuesday and Wednesday from work and can't change that so in hopes of getting me to go into labor on my own I took some castor oil last night. I woke up about an hour ago due to cramping. I have not had braxton hicks any during the pregnancy so I am really not sure if these are real, fake, or just a side effect of the castor oil. I just started paying attention to the time and the most recent ones were are 2:49, 2:51, 2:53, and 2:55 and they last about 30 seconds or so. It feels like a menstrual cramp, but worse. The only thing is I can't feel my stomach tightening up, but then again my skin is pretty thick so that could be the problem. Also the baby has started to move too. And the hospital is too far for me to just drive there to see if I am in labor.

If your contractions are this close together then you are in labor. I would definitely call the hospital and talk to an ob.
Do you feel like you are cramping like diarrhea cause castor oil (which you really shouldnt take) can give you bad diarrhea. Anyway, if you are feeling that, go ahead the hospital cause if those are contractions you are really close!!!

Listen sweetie I am not doctor. All I can tell you is that I worked for OB-GYN's for a few year. It sounds like you are in labor. I don't know about castor oil and labor, but many times women the night before they go into labor have diarrhea. It's common. You gotta get to the hospital and stop fooling around--call the doctor NOW. I think he's going to tell you to get going. Those cramps are close together. What you are describing sounds just like the beginning. Call the doc and try not to think about what you want to do right now, they come when they come, you know? You gotta do what you have to do.
30 seconds and no tightening does not sound like real, labor contractions. I would say call labor/delivery and explain about the castor oil and your cramping and see what they think...

You shouldn't have taken the castor oil. Now you and the baby are dehydrated and that can be very dangerous and life threatening to the baby.

My sister did the same thing, she ended up in hospital for about 4 hours then they sent her home, she had over done the castor oil, it was false labour, she eventually had the baby 2 weeks later naturally.

Your starting tto be have sex with your husband (When he gets off he realses a chemical that sends you in to labor) and then walk you will have this baby tonight.
When my wife was pregnant, our doctor told us she could take all the castor oil she wanted. The only thing it would do is upset her stomach. There is no scientific basis for that old wives tale. It's more than likely just a Braxton Hicks contraction, but only you know your body! If anything, you could call and describe what's going on. A nurse could be able to help you decide what to do.
In my opinion you could be in Labor. It's better to call your ob or the hospital and ask them cause we aren't for sure about your situation. Good luck either way! My best wishes :)
it could be false labor. the only way to know for sure is to wait it out. keep timing them, eventually there comes a point where if you are in labor girl you are gonna know it cause the contractions hurt a lot and they don't go away.
