see what colin powell has to say
I love that dude, he is intelligent, thats y he left the Bush administration.
This gave me goosbumps all over:
"And one picture at the tail end of this photo essay was of a mother in Arlington Cemetery and she had her head on the headstone of her son’s grave.”
“And as the picture focused in you can see the writing on the headstone. And the awards, Purple Heart, Bronze Star, showed that he died in Iraq, gave his date of birth, date of death. He was 20 years old. And then at the very top of the headstone, it didn’t have a Christian cross, it didn’t have a Star of David.
It had a crescent and a star of the Islamic faith. And his name was Karim Rashad Sultan Khan. And he was an American, he was born in New Jersey, he was 14 at the time of 9/11 and he waited until he can go serve his country and he gave his life.”
Way to go Mr Powell.
wow!!!i guess i can respect him now i h8ted him b4
thats a great statement from mr powell..however i think that barak obama's attitude towards muslims/islam, israel.. it speaks volumes. most of you here are too young to remember but in 2001 muslims in america were supposed to vote for bush!!! aaoothubillah! obama is very anti islam and pro israel.. read the facts, muslims. No.
Nothing wrong to be a Muslim, but try to respect other religion also, and elude Jihad ism from your mind. Be a good Muslim
FOR AMERICANS IT IS A BIG ISSUE!¬
Quote.
Is there something wrong with being a Muslim in this country?’ The answer is ‘No. That’s not America.’
When a Muslim, (or anyone), justifies murdering two daughters because they wear Western clothing, IN USA, is that OK?
And it's on the rise in US!
There is nothing wrong with being a member of any religion, as long as you are a decent human being who tries to help ALL others and respects human life, no matter how despicable you find it to be.
Nuff Said, for more straight talk on issues of the day, visit my Blog at Maanspace.blogspot.com The Cost of Being a Muslim Woman in a Muslim World | Freedom:: Notice that it is the women who have done something wrong in all these cases, There is a lack of technical assistance that focuses on the specific http://www.freedomscost.net/?p=1199HOME | Catch The Virus Video:: Is there something wrong with being a Muslim in this country? The answer is no. Thats not America. Is there something wrong with a seven-year-old http://imarks.tumblr.com/HOME | Colin Powell could be playing the race card, and the Islamic religion is wrong. Christianity is the true religion and Jesus was more than a prophet, He IS the Son of God, Jesus is against violence but the Islamic religions says it is right to spread their religion with violence, I don't want a president like that
Nothing wrong with being a "good" Muslim, but almost everything is wrong with being a "bad" Muslim. (Which is not called Muslim anymore) I didn't write this (but I should have) - LiveDaily Community:: Whenever this gets raised, the implication is that there is something wrong with being an Arab-American or a Muslim. And the media is complicit here, too. http://talk.livedaily.com/showthread.php?p=13825716HOME |
There's something wrong with it if you're not standing up against the violent segment in the religion or changing any writings that say infidels must convert or be killed. I think there's something wrong with oppressing women according to some 13th century code and forcing them to wear some ridiculous head garb in 100 degree heat.
It's not good enough to sit there chanting something.
Rinow, however, (poster below) gives the short answer and it's pretty accurate.
There sure is
Heck no. I've been saying that since people started mentioning that about Senator Obama. I have major heartburn with the idea that it's bad to be a Muslim. Can't say what I really think of this because I know there are young people present.................................

Here is him actually saying it:
And some McCain supporters saying something different:

Blue eyed Muslimah: I'm not anti-Israel. I am anti Israeli policies which oppress Palestinians, but Israeli's are not anti -Palestinian.
Joseph C: The average Muslim is against killing innocents, and not just because they are "good people" but because ISLAM tell them that it is wrong. Women are not, under MOST circumstances (there are fringe elements in every group) forced to wear some haed scarf. Most of us CHOOSE to do so. That 7th century (not the 13th...you should learn some histroy before judging 1.5 billion people) code is our tradition, not just something we throw away.
ed: You have no proof that there is any violence on the rise against Muslim women BY Muslim men. In fact, Muslim Americans have the LOWEST crime rate of any ethnic group in the US. No Muslims thinks this is right, and those who do, are plainly wrong according to Islam.
Fun Day; You are not worth responding to, as you're just playing the "I'm right, you're wrong" game.
jsully: As long as you are not insinuating that by being a Muslim that you cannot be "a decent human being who tries to help ALL others and respects human life", then I have no problem with your statement.
i kinda like him now
