On the latest update (also on the Lex) for Breaking Dawn and Midnight Sun, Stephenie wrote a myspace blog which stated this:
"1) Breaking Dawn is in the editing phase. It it tentatively set for release Fall 2008. It could be later if we hit a snag in editing. Usually editing takes longer than a few months, but both I and my editors will be putting in lots of overtime to make this happen.
2) Midnight Sun is only half-written. It will not be coming out until a while after itâ ™s finished. Donâ ™t expect it anytime soon. I will let you know when the rough draft is finished, and then you can start asking when it is due out. I donâ ™t foresee much chance to work on it until Breaking Dawn is completely finished."

It's not although I wish it was. I don't know if you are aware but you can read the first chapter of it. I'll give you the site. Also included is a site to get Stephenie's blogs about the Twilight series and how things are coming. It's fun to read and feel like you are "in the loop", especially with all the rumors out there. You will feel like you can believe the things said here because they come from her personally. This is in myspace and you may have to set up an account if you don't already have one (very easy) then just subscribe to the blog and you get an email everytime she posts a new blog.
