my box is significantly less noisy with fan at 10% speed. thanx for having implemented fan control.
i'm wondering if keeping that speed constant can harm the machine on the long time. thank you very much for any opinion.
nope - mine sits on the carpet next to the tv, all be it in the uk, so perhaps the climate is a little cooler... its a 1.3 xbox, with bog standard everything, although i have the hd to spin down almost immediatly, and everything is streamed from my pc via lan...
perhaps im just lucky ???. still have no probs at 56oc - weeks on, so expect that thet temp is ok, no strange crashes, shutdowns etc... ???

mine is set to 55c ad runs @ 15-20% always has done... do you have an upgraded hd? 5400/7200 or replacement fan? or do you blow on it whilst watching movies?
yip - same here, mines set to 56oc - so usually running at 2%, so far no problems......
well i prefer to have mine set at a temp control (55c) and 98% of the time my fan is on 2% (lovely and quiet)
How much does getting a small tattoo on your hip/stomach hurt?
