Confirmation that Iris Dement was only on the Jan. 5, 1995 show comes
from the following web site, which does not list her for Dec. 12,
1994, but does list her for the later date.

It appears that Iris Dement has sung only one song on the David
Letterman show: "Let the Mystery Be", on Jan. 5, 1995.

There is one posting stating that she sang "O Holy Night" on Dec. 12,
1994. But I have seen no confirmation of that, and another posting
states that she was bumped from the show. Given the excitement about
her appearance a few weeks later, I assume that she did not sing on
the December 12 show.
