I have to do an experiment to see what factors affect Acceleration. I know its mass and force. And that the equation is F=ma and a=F/m. I set up one to find the effect of of force by changing slope keeping same weights and im sure everyone knows how that works. But to test for Mass, I wanted to change mass but keep same slope to see the effects.After I tought of it, i realised mass is part of force so if i change mass, im changing force. Force is definately a function of mass - if you change the mass, you affect the force.
Force is directly proportional to mass. So if you increase the mass at a constant acceleration, it will result to an increase in force. Inversely, if you decrease the mass at a constant acceleration there will be a decrease in force.

Then having more mass with the exact same size only it's solid rubber instead of a balloon. Would it attract the object faster to the football to give it more force of an impact? Yes!
The more mass you have the greater the impact. But for the purposes of teaching acceleration, mass and force, it is a starting point for the student to understand the basic theory. The only thing you are doing is changing the mass amount to find out the differences in impact force than what you started out with. How to measure that stays the same. then subtract the difference from your starting result.
The main concept of understanding the force is basically the bucket and the pulley theory. Where you have gravity as your constant, and you fill the bucket up with water is a variable, and at the other end you have a force meter telling you how much is applied to the pad with X amount of water. But if you change mass, like fill the bucket up with sand for example the mass is greater, thus more weight, thus more force on the meter. The way to explain it stays the same.
