Not really, liberal radio under the "fairness act" will have to have just as many conservative views as they are demanding on Conservative shows to have liberal views. But why stop at radio, the news should be fair and balanced as well which means MSNBC and CNN will have to fire several of their reporters and hire conservatives to be fair.

Well, unfortunately it's been tried before. The "Fairness Doctrine" was passed in 1987 and 1991 and were presidential-y vetoed, as well as a federal court ruling on the 1987 attempt. Essentially, the bill would force radio to give equal airtime to "conservative" and "liberal" radio programs. The FCC would have the job of "deciding" if this was being adhered to. I don't care what side of the ballot you fall in on, that's a really bad idea to have censors on speech! Does anyone get the idea that the the governmental parties don't actually represent how Americans really feel?

He and the Democrat congress want the "fairness doctrine" re-instated. This is the rule that both sides of an issue have to receive equal amounts of time on the air (would essentially destroy conservative and liberal talk radio). It is nothing but a Socialist violation of our First Amendment rights.
I would imagine that there would be a huge uprising if this doctrine were to be instituted again.
