i bought another expensive item which uses electicity and they claim it uses magnetic fields but it never worked.
the simple thing to do is purchase roach proff at hardward
store locally, boy does this work and is cheap. it is not a spray
You have to check your surroundings. We lived next to a pizzeria and they never kept their dump area clean, which caused all sorts of problems for us. If your surroundings are not clean, you can only remove them temporarily. Good luck! Go to Heloise and look up Cockroach bait recipe. It tells you how to mix boric and cooking grease and some other stuff and make it into balls to place around the house. The roaches will get it on themselves and transfer it to other roaches and kill them. I have used this method for over 30 years and it works. The more roaches you have, the more you put out. But it does work! Here is the receipt
8 ounces powered boric acid
1/2 cup flour
1/8 cup sugar
1/2 small onion, chopped(optional)
1/4 cup cooking oil or bacon drippings(or more to form a soft
dough)
Put it in the corners of the cabnets, under the sinks, in places the kids and pets can't get to it. Each ball should be about the size of a dime (app.) FWFoods,Fdg:: No need to get paranoid, but if the gravel is obviously dirty, then a quick stir and a I've tried reading over all the faq and am still at a loss. http://www.wetwebmedia.com/fwsubwebindex/fwfoods,fdg.htmHOME |
Boric acid mixed with cornmeal. 1/3 cornmeal and 2/3 boric acid. Its funny how the least expensive products work the best. The cornmeal attracts them, they eat it and get it on their legs etc.,carry it into the walls and hiding places, where others eat it as well. The boric acid dehydrates them.Put it in all out of the way places..under fridge..behind stove, corner of cabinets (its safe around children and pets) all those dark cool places they like to hide through your house. I have been suggesting this combination for over 4 decades and the feedback I get is it "It does a great job when nothing else would work"
Just quit wasting your money and call an exterminator! If for some reason you can't afford that all at once, save a little bit every pay period. It may take a while but if they are that bad, you probably can't do it on your own. Meanwhile, wipe your counters with bleach several times a day especially at night. Btw, if you haven't yet tried Combat Gold (it's like paste in a syringe type dispenser),give that a go. It may not get rid of them but it might cut down! rants & raves: October 2004:: But they wanted her anyway. baking soda - roaches like to preen themselves and when they take in the baking soda they can't digest it and well it destroys them.
Try Combat Roach Killer. I've gotten excellent results with that.
Have you tried natural pesticides. Boric acid?
Here is a website that gives a list of natural treatments that people have used and their results. Pretty impressive. Give them a try. It is important to try and keep your place clean as posible. pour bleach down the sink aswell.

I have used Bengal roach spray with excellent results. It comes in a spray can and is applied to baseboards, etc. It is clear, dry and works very well. You can find it at Ace Hardware stores and some supermarkets.
I have not had roaches in years. Just clean up the place and keep it that way. If they can't find anything to eat they leave on their own. Leaving dirty dishes in the sink is just asking them to stay. Did you ever see roaches in a hospital??
If it's a full infestation, you probably need to call an exterminator. Otherwise a good chemical-free tip is to use alcohol in a spray bottle. And empty and clean our your cabinets really well too, getting rid of anything where they might have laid eggs.
Here's the tip I found at the Scott Common Sense Community about using alcohol:
http://www.scottcommonsense.com/Tip.aspx...
To overcome roaches big or small, (common in sunny Florida), use alcohol in a spray bottle. The alcohol gets in their lungs, if they flip over all the better to spray on underside. They die quickly.
I applied boric acid within the sidewalls of my home before they applied the drywall.Ten years latter,no roaches . So if you can apply boric acid along all sidewalls at floor level you will be surprised how well it works. A less messy way would be to use bingal roach treatment and follow directions. Best product on the after market.
