  • How can i stop it doing this??iv been told putting cream on b4 i put the tan on makes it streaky, and i do use lotion but my legs r still dry.

  • plain ole Vaseline on your legs after showering is the stuff

  • Put a good moisturizer on your legs and make sure it's dry before applying the fake tan.

  • Make sure you exfoliate the day before to get all the dry skin off and make sure you are keeping your legs moisturized. Don't exfoliate the day you apply the tanner because that will cause the tanner to go on unevenly and into pores, which looks funny. Apply the tanner like you would a moisturizer and make sure you get it everywhere. Don't put as much on your ankles or knees because they will absorb it better and be darker than the rest of your skin. After you apply, wait until it dries and double check to make sure you didn't miss any spots.Applying it in circular motions also helps prevent streaking.

  • Ex foliate your skin first and make sure you use a lot of body lotion to keep your skin soft. Then apply the fake tan.

  • Well if you're anything like me, you live nowhere near a beach, don't tan anyway, and even if you did want to do it the safe way! Good for you.

Make sure you exfoliate before putting on fake tan, then put moisturiser on, then apply the tan. Hope it works!

  • Use a body scrub to get rid of the dead skin cells and THEN apply a good body lotion. You might want to do this twice a day for a few days before you apply the tanning lotion.

  • First of all, exfoliate to get rid of any dead skin and then moisturise when your legs are dry. Wait for a while before applying fake tan.

To make sure your tan stays streak free you should exfoliate every couple of days. However, this will make your tan fade quicker so i would recommend using an everyday moisturiser with fake tan in it.

  • shave your legs and then use an exfoliater like st. ives apricot scrub first. any kind of scryb will work. it takes off the dead skin. then folow directions on your self tanner. then try applying with something like a big makeup sponge, that will help it go on evenly. those usually have moisturizers in them so you dont have to first.

  • i have the exact same problem you do and have been dedicated fake tan addict for 2 years what i do is firstly use a really intensive body moisturizer either Palmer's cocoa butter or Astral.make sure u put them on an HOUR before next use a gel fake tan if you can like lo-real sublime bronze .make sure you moisturize every day to keep ur skin smooth.
    hope this helped!
    xx

  • Just go to the beach and get you a real tan.

  • It sounds like what you need is to exfoliate. Most self tanners now come with an exfoliating cream/shower gel to use first. If your skin is extremely dry you should do it for a couple of days first. You can also try using an oil moisturizer on the days that you are not self tanning. Neutragena Sesame Oil works well.
