off to the outside of your foot following the arc / natural curve of your foot.
Just an idea but, you may want to look for a similar rub on tattoo and put it on where you think you'll like it to be. That way you can try a couple of different places without a forever commitment.
I think it would be really cool if you changed it so it started at your big toe and went over the top of your foot and ended at your outside ankle, and had the butterfly as sort of the centerpiece in the top middle of your foot. I don't know if you would want it smaller, but maybe they could do it a little bit more delicate...thinner lines so it doesn't look so big. You could also just do it more towards the outside of your foot. World War I - Trenches on the Web:: Jun 3, 2004 An History of the Great War of 1914 to 1918 presented in internet format. I've heard people say that foot tattoo's hurt more than a lot of other places...but I didn't feel that way, but I don't have any others to compare it too. It definitely helped that mine is small and just an outline. iEARN - International Education and Resource Network:: iEARN (International Education and Resource Network) is the world's largest non- profit global network that enables teachers and youth to use the Internet http://www.iearn.org/HOME | Main Page - World War I Document Archive:: Mar 18, 2008 Photographs, links, articles, a biographical dictionary and related resources. http://wwi.lib.byu.edu/HOME |
Just something to think about...I thought it would be a lot easier to cover up than it actually is...In my teaching profession I have to be careful, so I end up wearing a lot of boots and shoes, and can't wear the stilettos that I like without exposing it!
Good luck, it is a very pretty design, I'm sure it'll look nice.
Here is my tattoo (excuse the crappy camera phone pic):

The best advice actually is to NOT get it on your foot. Two points: It is extremely painful, and secondly, the skin there doesn't hold ink well and fades very quickly. Even though mine was well done, I've only had it a year and it's fading already. If I could go back, I wouldn't have done it because it wasn't worth it.
wow! thats a really pretty tattoo!
i have a tattoo on my foot, it's on the side, not totally on the top, but i think the position of this tattoo should do just fine for the type of tattoo it is...
good luck! and I'm totally for foot tattoos! i think they are so sexy!!!
p.s. hey i think you should totally do it that big! don't be afraid! everyone i know who gets a small tattoo regrets it! show it off! you'll love it! if you go smaller, you'll wish you hadn't!
good luck!
i love my tat on my foot... and i very much recomend it for others! tips... my artist told suggested that i let it scab over, dry out, for a few days before putting ointment on it. and to make sure and not wear socks or shoes that will rub against it until the entire scab has fallen off. as for fadding, mine did some, but most artists will touch up tats for free and you usually have to have then touched up at least once irreguardless of where they are located. and it did hurt, much more than the one on my back, but it was worth it.
How much does a tattoo hurt out of 1-10? ?
I'm getting a foot tattoo in a couple of weeks...?
