your help is deeply appreciated...
thanx =)
first you need to take tiny sections of your hair place the iron ay the top of the strand and go straight down with the iron till the bottom of the strand. then you have perfectly straight hair.
i put the top half of my hair up and straighten the bottome half adn then i let the rest down and straighten it, i have hair like urs but mines like a couple cm longer than sholder length. : D
I have a GHD and I had wanted it for sooo long. Couldn't wait to get my hands on one but I've found that it is really difficult to use on my hair. My hair is almost nearing half my back in length and I find it rarely tricky to use the GHD on my hair. It takes forever and getting those pieces at the back of my head is challenging. I am often too lazy to do it.
You should splt your hair up in sections and use the iron on as small a piece as possible as the heat can get to it better. Your product should come with a manual or cd or something to show you how to do your hair?? Mine did. It doesn't help much though, I want to 'hire' someone to come and style my hair for me everytime lol. congratulations madam for your flat iron you just bought, any way it is nice and lovely i used it before when i was caring my natural hair.
please since you are just starting for the first time, do not use it by your self . i will advice you to go the salon and if you really want to do it well it has to be sectioned by sectioned so that your shoulder length wavy hair on your back of hair will come out nice looking. please make sure you are looking at your stylist the way he or she is handling the flat iron before you start using it ok THX from Aristarchus@yahoo.com
You are thinking too much about it.
What I do it take my fingers and separate your hair into a row and put the rest up in a hair tie. Continue doing it like that until you are done.
Put your hair into section. Start At the back then just work your way round your head. Make sure to use a heat protection spray, so that your hair won't get damaged.
Have Fun =D.
Firstly you should use heat protecting spray. This will help minimise damage to your hair from high temperatures.
Sectioning it does make it easier.
What I do is put it in a pony tail and leave a section haning out at the bottom of the pony tail. Then straighten the section hanging down. Repeat this while letting more and more of the hair out of the ponytail each time until all is done.
Hope this helps.
Here is a website with really good instructions on how to straighten your hair with a flat iron!
http://www.associatedcontent.com/article...
What I do is flip my hair over and straighten the inside first. Then, take like 3" sections and straighten them kind of slow, but you shouldn't leave the straightener on any section of your hair longer than 5 seconds. This might sound weird, but another thing i do is tie my hair in a loose side ponytail and straighten all of the hair thats in the ponytail because this makes my ends straighter.
