I REALLY want a guinea pig! My parents really don't want another pet because they think that they will end up taking care of it. I would like some ways to convince them.
In the past I wanted a dog so I tried the responsibilty thing but when my parents said no I stopped doing extra chores. This time I am older and I know I can stay responsible. But how do I convince my parents that I will stay responsible when we have already gone through this? (Note: I am a very responsible person, I do the dishes for my whole family, water the flowers every day, do the most of the taking care of our pool and take care of our cats!! PLEASE HELP!!!!
number 1, guinea pigs need companions so you would need to get 2 guinea pigs
number 2, giunea pigs are a very big responsibility
if you really want to show your parents that you are able to take the responsibility of having guinea pigs you need to do your research on them, prices, housing, and what they need as far as daily care.
^^^^ you don't need two guinea pigs, you just need to hold it and give it attention everyday :)

You need to research on prices and things(but you probably already did that) So you just have to sit down and talk to them and convince them. It sounds like you've done all you can do. Do any of your friends have a guinea pig/rabbit? Mabye you can ask them if you can watch it for a week while they are on vacation/keep it at your house to show that you can take care of a pet. You take care of the cats everyday so that shows that you won't forget to take care of it right?

show them all the good things a guenia pig will bring to the family. and tell them how you would handle anything if anything went wrong.

do some reaserch about them them tell your parents about it so they know you really care about it you can also save some money so you can help them on stuff like the cage,hay,etc,so they know your are responsible, i got one,my parents didnt want one either but i started acting responsible and they talked about it and decided to buy me one
