I cannot find a week by week chart of how much the baby gains or grows each week. I am on week 26 right now, but start my 3rd trimester next week! Up to this point he is still like 2. something lbs, just wondering if every week through the 3rd trimester if he gains an avg. amount of weight, or if it gets to be more and more as he is due date approaches. When I had my 20 week sonogram I was talking w/ the ultrasound tech about this. She told me that around 30 weeks, the baby is about 3 lbs. She said that baby's gain weigh at different speeds and at different times. On average, the last month of pregnancy, the baby gain's about 1/2 a week. The average baby weighs about 7 1/2 pounds.
I truly believe that all baby's gain weight differently and at different rates throughout pregnancy. I had my first son at 35 weeks, and he weighed 7lbs 6oz and 20 inches long. I can only imagine how big he would've been had he been born at 40 weeks.
