I'm twenty years old and have never had a girlfriend! I really want one but I don't know if it's because I'm too shy or because I just act funny around girls or if I'm just not attractive? I need your opinion! Please help!

you look like a normal and decent looking guy...But acting funny and humorous won't get you a girlfriend... it will just put you in friend-zone land ...Try to be a little more cool, but not phoney cool, around women...most of them like a little edgyness to their men.

I think that you are being too shy. You should have had a girlfriend by now cause you are attractive and you are not weird looking or desperate looking either. Talk to people and just socialize. Compliment girls and stuff especially about their appearance. Meet them in your college if you go to one or a coffee shop, gym, a club, you know stuff like that. Sorry but malls and the movies is so high school. Just be yourself. And I think it's all in your head that you act funny around girls. Just be confidence and be yourself. I am sure that you will get a girlfriend soon if you just approach them. Don't worry you will meet the right one. You just have to talk more. Don't be shy. I know that it is hard but for once in your life attract the attention to you. i'd date you. it's probably b/c of your shyness. if you don't make the first move on the girl you like, it's likely that she won't be the first to make a move either, especially if she's shy. i do that too.

I really think that you have to develop greater self-confidence and more in terms of personal security as to who you are and what you have to offer. We are as we are; and, ultimately, we want to be accepted as we are. However, before such acceptance is really possible, there must be self-acceptance.

You're good. The problem might just be that you are shy. I'm a fairly traditional sort of girl (19 and never dated, also wanting to for a few years now) and I want a guy to ask me out. In general if they did I'd give them a chance and go on a date, but not being asked out means that I wouldn't do anything either. As for acting funny around girls, just attempt to be yourself, we can tell if you're trying to be funny to impress and honestly being natural is just better. Also, getting really drunk around girls you like is a wonderful way to lose their respect.. just a word to the wise.

Don't worry about it man. If you be yourself then girls will just come to you. I am horrible at talking to girls but i have had several girlfriends and I look like a girly fag right now. No matter what, You are bound to find a girlfriend. try going out with your guy friends and meet some girls as a group and start hangin out. they will be attracted to you eventually, trust me. If you like them and are not a creep (pushy towards liking them and stuff) then they will like you back soon enough, it is reciprocal attraction. it does happen. i start to like a girl that likes me within a week when i didn't like her before. this happened quite a few times.
