get an acoustic, much better to learn on, and its MUCH easier to go from an acoustic to electric than an electric to acoustic. Any musician will tell you this!
Acoustic, they make you play it the proper way otherwise you wont get the right sound, and they're usually cheaper so if you give up u haven't wasted heaps of money
you must get an acoustic and once you have gotten the feel of it and have been learning for a year or two depending on how fast you learn. you can then learn electric, bass, rhythmic.. whatever. bass is the easiest out of them because the parts you play are much more simple.
Since you are just learning, you would probably want to start out with an acoustic. They are cheaper (which is good in case you find out you don't want to learn to play anymore). Also, they are tougher on your fingers, so you will build calluses up on your fingers quicker which means less pain time in the long run.
id say acustic.
many people buy and electiric, they spend a lot of money on it but in the end it just starts gathering dust in the back of the closet. learn on the acustic and eventually by an electric guitar.
acoustic is more moble and i think it is cheaper

Acoustic! I see it being like learning to drive a car... if you learn to drive with a stick shift you can easily drive an automatic, but not necessarily the other way around!

Start with acoustic because it's harder to play.
Choose acoustic. If you start with electric you will pick up bad habits. You won't if you start with acoustic. Plus, acoustic teaches you all the basics so when you move onto electric, it'll be easy in comparison.
I would go for accoustic. It is a bit harder to get used to than electric because you have to press harder on the stings, but if you get good at accoustic electric comes easy, plus, unless its plugged into an amp electics aren't to great at hearing yourself play.
Plus writing your own songs on accoustic is always my favorite.
well...it really depends...
if you like calm, smooth acoustic songs, then get the acoustic guitar. perfect for just playing along in ur own time.
if you like to rock n roll, then the electric guitar is urs. perfect for rocky songs.
acoustic is much harder to play, but once oyu get the hang of it, going from acoustic to electric will be much easier for you!
Acoustic
get an acoustic, its easier to pull off playing sloppy on an electric, the sound's not as clean, and as a beginner your gonna want to be as damn close to perfect as you can
