I want to remove HP Home that comes with it and reinstall XP Pro.
Is this possible to do?

Of course you could do it.
I'd add more RAM to make XP Pro run a little smoother.
I'd also format the hard drive first with a start-up disk before putting the XP Pro installation disk in.
Totally possible. It you have a recovery partition on your hard drive you may want to consider rebuilding your partitions and using just one partition instead of a C and D. I'd download all the latest drivers and put them on a disk before installing the XP Pro.
it is possible, you might not have to reformat in order to do so, stick the disk in and try it before wiping your HD, that computer will support XP Pro regardless
