Naruto a tad bit more that Avatar.. In my opinion, the characters are very similar, and I like the fact that Avatar is trying to introduce the Asian culture to the U.S.
On the other hand, Naruto's characters are a little bit more well developed and the plot is much better. Plus there are more episodes to keep me entertained. And then it's availble dubbed and subbed. ^___^
But I agree... Avatar is a wannabe anime. It's actually very close to one. The only thing is that it's almost like a rip-off of Naruto.
I mean... when I think about it, it's true.
Aang is sorta high strung and all over the place like Naruto, but Aang is a little more kind hearted in my opinion.
Sakura is annoying just like Katara. >__<
Sasuke is like Zuko.
So yeah, I think that Avatar copied Naruto. I like Avatar, but as just a cartoon. ^____^

well i like avatar, but naruto is good too.
avatar has a twist in the story and naruto is basically all about fighting and fighting strategies.
avatar is way cooler. it applies more to the common person only because its on nick. its funner too
I have to go with Naruto 'cause avatar is done and we have to know about sasuke and the village and plus it has cuzzwords. I love it when something is itself.

Avatar is cool and all, I just think naruto has had a lot of better character development.
And I think it's going to have a better ending!
NARUTO!! Because...well, do I need an explanation? The plot is better, the characters are better, the characters are HOTTER, and the setting, plot, music, EVERYTHING!! Is so much better!

Yeah, Avatar's kinda wannabe-ish. Sorry. I kind of have an abnormal prejudice against American-made anime/manga.
Naruto, Because the Avatar didn't even have the Guts to Kill his Greatest Enemy. The Avatar shows weakness in his decision not to kill, But to leave him alive to find a way to revive his power & KILL the Avatar. SOooo, STUPID. That's American Cartoons for ya. Anime would have had the guts to kill him.
Avatar because I've only watched one episode of Naruto. xD
There really is no comparision..
Avatar and Naruto are on two COMPLETELY diffrent levels. (they are two diffrent types of shows)
Naruto is far better, and picks up greatly in shippuden and transforms nicely...
It has a solid plot, great fights.
Avatar is kind of childish, and I really can't stand their character development or their fight scenes. Or the characters for that matter.
(however, it depends on what version of naruto you are watching...japanese , english subbed, or as it appears on cartoon network ..and yes they censor it)
I like both.

But if I had to choose,I guess I like Avatar better.
Naruto is my fav over Avator, Avator is good too but......i just had to pick one xP
