Welcome to:hznm.com

  • more.com is offering a referral program where when the new customer which has been referred makes a $25 purchase, that new customer gets a $25 gift certificate (from 800GiftCertificates), and the referrer also gets a $25 gif certificate. Free S/H is available, too. I've been a more.com customer for a while now, happily taking advantage of their special offers.

So here's the start of the conga line:

Note also that more.com is trying to be a responsible Internet neighbor... their email repeated state that they do not want this forwarded. And on the Web site where you can *make* a referral, they clearly state they only want you to enter the email addresses of friends.

  • I'm not sure how the offer of a $25 GC to a new referred customer through this referral program will interact with more.com's offer of a $25 GC to any new customer with a $25 minimum purchase anyway. Best case, you spend $25, get two bonus GC's, and I get one GC. Worst case, you only get one GC, and I get none. Even the worst case is still a good deal. Probable case is that you get one GC, I get one, too, and hence the reason for this conga line. (You'll net a second GC when the next member of the conga line joins up.)

  • The new customer gets a $25 GC to use at 800GiftCertificates.com. You can get this without being referred. Only need to be a new customer and use the link for the free GC.
The referring party gets a $10 coupon put in his or her account to spend at MORE.com, if the new customer spends at least $15. You will not get $25 for making referrals. Still a good deal though.

  • henwood: I disagree.

at more.com you will receive a $25 Gift Certificate redeemable at
top stores and restaurants like Red Lobster, Macy's, Barnes & Noble,
Olive Garden and Sam Goody. You can earn up to $500 in Gift Certificates.

If your friends purchase more than $15 worth of merchandise, but less
than $25, you will receive a $10 coupon towards your next purchase at
    more.com. Either way, you win.

I agree that you can get a very good deal on one's own, but it's not as good as the deal one can get participating in a conga line when counting what you'll get because of the next conga line participant.

I stand corrected. I have been shopping with MORE for quite some time and have not seen that offer before. It must be new. I referred a customer only last week that purchased $30 and I only got the $10 coupon. Yes, the $25 GC is a better deal for referrals.
I hope you get a bunch.

  • Not if you are looking at the total amount of bonus value. You would get a $25 GC with your own purchase of $25 (free S/H), and then another $25 GC with the purchase of the next conga line participant. Net result is $75 value for $25 expenditure, provided you actually needed to buy $25 worth of drugstore stuff and more.com's prices are fairly reasonable compared to other drugstores.

The $25 GC for a $10 purchase if I recall correctly entails paying S/H of $3.95. Net value is $38.95 for an expenditure of $13.95, which from a percentage of view is a higher percentage bonus than the conga line, but in terms of absolute $$ amount, is less than the conga line.

But, it's a fair point to bring up that more.com is very heavily offering a bunch of promotions at the moment. www.valueconsumer.com (http://www.valueconsumer.com) is a great resource.

I should re-do my analysis of best/probably/worst cases:

Best: you get two GC's at purchase time, and one GC when the next conga line participant does their thing. I get one GC when you made your purchase as a referer. Net bonus to you: $75.

Probable: you get one GC at purchase time (can't combine offers, so you take the referred-customer bonus). You get a second GC when the next conga line participant does their thing. I get one GC when you made your purchase as a referer. Net bonus to you: $50.

Worst: you get one GC at purchase time (can't combine offers, and more.com makes you dump the referred-customer bonus and accept the bonus advertised on their home page). I don't get a GC as a referer; you don't get a GC as a referer, either, since your referee ends up dumping the referred-customer bonus as well. Net bonus to you: $25.

  • The better more.com deal is spend $10 and get $25 GC for new customers. Check out the hot deal section of www.valueconsumer.com/eDeals/eDeals.htm (http://www.valueconsumer.com/eDeals/eDeals.htm)
