My parents just bought a house. what is a good house warming gift? they already have almost everything (lcd tv, computer, furniture, fridge, appliances, gas grill, lawn mower, and etc). Please suggest any gift idea ($300-$1500).
get a family photograph framed with everyone in it.. and gift it.. !
they;ll love it... for their new house.. as it is something ppl usually dont bother during the hassels of building the house etc.

Buy them gift vouchers from a large chain group, then they can decide themselves how to spend it, and buy something they really want
Get them a small getaway. Moving into a new place takes a lot of work and once they get settled maybe they'd like to have a little weekend getaway. Try to pick something that both parents will like, and maybe they'll enjoy it so much, you'll get a new baby sibling.

Pay up a month of maid service for them. It will cost about that and the gift is priceless. It will give them more free time, etc. etc.

WHen you have a free day, do some running around and buy up a bunch of gift cards/certificates to local places in their new neighborhood - pizza places, gas cards, etc. etc. Throw it in a basket with a bottle of wine and two glasses...

My gift idea falls WAY under your price guidelines but, is good for the person that has everything!

*That's what I got my parent's... If you have the $1,500 to throw around I suggest you save it for a special anniversary gift... Maybe a family trip on vacation....
