irrational fear on the part of labrador retriever:: The first thing you'll want to do is have your veterinarian rule out physical and to varying degrees they too can experience fear, stress, boredom, http://answers.google.com/answers/threadview?id=357385HOME | Hello. I am a 33 yr old female. I am 5ft 7in tall and weight 315 lbs. I want to lose weight so much, but when I start to make a plan for myself I start thinking "what do I need to do to keep the weight coming off when I do stop losing". It really stresses me. I know that I have to eat right and exercise, but where do I start? What is eating right? What is a portion? Will I feel like I am starved to death? I'm really scared, but I hurt so much in my body from this weight, I have to do something. Can you please help me find a starting point?
What is really helping me is pre- packaged foods such as Lean Cuisine, Weight Watchers, and Healthy Choice meals. I made up my mind that I was going to lose weight..I went to the store and loaded up on these frozen meals. There are so many choices. I haven't come across one that I don't like. I eat a small breakfast such as a cup of Cheerios with skim milk for breakfast to get my metabolism going, I eat one of the frozen meals for lunch and one for dinner. I sometimes add a little salad with low fat dressing or cook up an extra vegetable to go with the dinner meal. For snacks you can have a low cal yogurt, low cal pudding, or sugar free jello with fat free cool whip (that is only 30 calories).
The "diet" I am on is my own but it not unlike the ones you see on tv in my opinion.
For exercise: start by walking a block and then extend the amount you walk each week.
You can do this. After one week of eating this diet and walking then it becomes routine. I lost 8 pounds in the first week.

Just chill. Get yourself on the right path and you'll feel fine. Your new goal is to lose no more than 2 lb a week. Lose any faster than that, you'll start eating up muscle that would have helped you burn calories. still undiagnosed digestive problem after 7 years :: At first they thought it was SMA syndrome (eventually ruled out), . anything) - New food or a change of diet - New activity - New stress, such as moving, http://answers.google.com/answers/threadview/id/751419.htmlHOME | Evolution and boredom:: However, if we take boredom as the lack of stress, we can find . where they have to do dangerous stunts; where people fall in and out of love; http://answers.google.com/answers/threadview/id/159214.htmlHOME |
Count calories. Start with 1500 and see how that works. As for portions, divide that 1500 amongst your day. You'll feel less hungry a few minutes after your meal. A few days of smaller meals will lower your appetite. If you're losing over 2 lbs a week that way, step it up a bit. See if you can notch it down to 1200 if not. Frozen dinners are a good way to keep count.
You have to exercise at least 3 days a week. For fat burning, you want low impact exercise that keeps you below your max heart rate, so you can keep doing it for a while. Like 30 minutes.
As for nutrition, just eat variety. Stuff that makes people fat includes sugar, refined flour, fried foods, try to avoid that. Your body will be fine. If you're really into eating well maybe you can go for steamed veg or a salad with low-fat dressing. That'll fill you up good with not much calories. Oatmeal's real good for breakfast, the old fashioned kind in the huge tube, pinch of salt, tbsp splenda, little gob of honey and that's good filling eats.

start keeping a food journal to account for all your calories.... and you can see where you need to cut back
set a goal weight and then start working towards that caloric intake.... its roughly 10 calories for each pound.... so say you want to weigh 200 pounds, then you only need 2,000 calories a day.... start working towards getting down to that, and once you meet that goal, set another one.... just make sure you set attainable goals, so you wont be disappointed and stop working
Also, to lose weight with excercise, cardio is a good way to go - you need to get your heart rate up to at least 120 (and stick with it for 30 minutes) before you will start losing weight.... dont worry if you cant handle this much your first time - you may have to work at it....
If you really want it and are willing to work for it, then you can achieve it.... good luck!

The key for losing weight is easy - consume less and move more - the problems arise when we in reality try to put that into operation! There are loads of stumbling blocks in the big wide world don't you think?! I discovered some excellent help by visiting the website in the box below, they have loads of tips, I melted away 6 pounds by using their methods.
I would take it slow, and maybe do some walking when you can. What do you do at work? There are several excercises you can do at your desk or if you are in manufacturing when you get a break walk around the floor. Go up and down stairs if you have stairs at work.
Change your eating habits. Eat more fruits instead of sweets. Bring your lunch (dinner) to work. You will feel hungry at first, but when you get those feelings go up and down the stairs etc... Do not eat on the first sign of hunger pains. Wait a few. Snacks, take grapes, and granola bars, or veggies carrot sticks and celery sticks. chicken Breast are low in fat too and are good for you. Take grilled chicken breast. Soups are low in fat too, but they are high in sodium.
What is Metabolism? ?
