I just cant seem to sleep at the moment, My brain is going a million miles an hour & I'm just thinking of stupid things, any ideas of how to settle the brain before I try & go to sleep? I have already had some rescue remedy without affect
lie down and close your eyes...then imagine yourself on a walk in a calming place right after it has rained. stop near a puddle and start breathing deeply. now imagine that your head just kinda opens up and with ever deep exhale think of a few things that bother you and then imagine placing them in the puddle, where they sink to the bottom and you can see them no longer...continue doing that until you have no thoughts in your head...if you still arent relaxed then try concentrating on each muscle in your body--first flexing it and then relaxing it starting from your toes and moving up...hopefully that helps!
also try writing everything down and if you feel weird "journaling" try typing it into an email or writing it in a text/ letter format just as it comes to you-- i find that helps me sort out my thoughts a lot! good luck:)
Try eating a white cracker and a slice of turkey about an hour before bed time. Turkey contains tryptophan, a compound that induces sleep. It's the reason we all want to go to sleep after Thanksgiving dinner.
Make sure you're getting lots of Potassium, Magnesium and Calcium to help the body relax. These minerals can be found in nuts, bananas and yogurt. A banana now or a bowl of cereal may make you sleepy within an hour. Hotflashes! Womens Health Issues:: or longer I have not been sleeping well, all I do is have Any advice would be wonderful.
