The much awaited BMW 1 Series Coupe model has finally arrived in the United States and made its official North American debut at the 2007 Los Angeles Auto Show. This high performance BMW coupe model is scheduled to arrive in BMW dealer showrooms all over the U.S. starting in the spring of 2008. Only two model variants of the BMW 1 Series Coupe will be available in the U.S. market, the BMW 128i and the BMW 135i. However, the manufacturers suggested retail price (MSRP) of BMW 1 Series Coupe is not yet announced.

The BMW 1 Series Coupe unveiled at the 2007 Los Angeles Auto Show is powered by a 3.0-liter inline 6-cyinder engine that generates 230 horsepower and produces 200 lb-ft of torque. A more engine powerful variant for the 135i Coupe is equipped with BMWs twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter inline six-cylinder engine that pumps out 300 horsepower and pulls out an incredible 300 lb-ft of torque from 1,400 rpm.
