Has anyone tried using the different credit union sites to see if you get a code for each course at each site?

I just completed the 'buy a car' course at the link above, for a completion certificate with a code for FIVE itunes. This course wasn't as long as the shoping one, and I'm glad I tried it. Thanks to the original posters :)

3 itunes is not worth the risk of identity theft.

I am not so worried about ID theft with Geico. Seems like a resonable risk

They are legal. You are buying them in Russia and obeying all applicable Russian laws...then simply electronically exporting them to the country of your choosing.

Whether or not its ethical is an entirely different matter....

I'm happy to report that an email came today from the Holiday Inn sweepstakes, with apologies for technical problems and an Itunes code. The email said, "here's your new code" or something to that effect, although the first email I received contained no code whatsoever.

I didn't bother with CS on such a small matter, so it's swell that they took care of it on their own.

Try not to buy music from iTune. it can only be used for Apple devices and cannot be converted to WAV or MP3.
For people who only own an iPod, I doubt they really care if it can't be used on other devices they don't own. And considering that about 80% of people who own MP3 players own iPods, that's pretty much most people.

Additionally, there are a number of ways to convert songs bought on iTunes to other formats and/or for use on other players. The most obvious one is to burn a CD with your iTunes songs and then re-rip the CD into any format you want. And yes, you CAN burn CDs with songs purchased from iTunes.

Furthermore, this thread isn't about buying iTunes, it's about getting free song credits on iTunes. There's not much point in complaining about limitations on FREE songs.

my senior year of high school my friends and i got so many calls from army recruiters. we decided to break the dont ask dont tell policy, guys and girls, we told them we were gay. never heard back from them. have never been bothered since.

I just wanted to put out a request for people to limit the amount of times they take advantage of promotions. It seems like alot of these contests end weeks ahead of time because people keep using phony emails and info, so they run out of prizes. So if everyone could limit it to 1 or 2 prizes per promotion, that might help guarantee that more people get the gift of music.

This isn't the only message board that posts freebies. There are a ton of them out there, and freebies have a way of migrating from one message board to another. When you have a company like Tazorac offering iTunes GC's to the first 500 people, they're going to go fast.

I got 5 free itunes from Wells Fargo for doing a 'knowledge test' regarding my credit... took about 10 minutes and was worth it. I think it was targetted to new accounts.

I was never implying that people should avoid taking iTunes to preclude the phone calls (National Guard). To me, enlisting in this offer with no underlying interest seems unethical and essentially equates to stealing.

Have you ever taken a sample at the grocery store just because you were hungry, with no interest in actually buying the product?

Regardless of whether or not you end up buying the product (you sampled, or signed up to receive information about) it does what the manufacturer intended.... created a buzz.

Anyway, the promotion is not out there to reward people who are already interested.... it is out there to get new people interested. Half of the things I've sampled at the grocery store I never thought I would buy, but ended up buying because of the sample. The sample provides more "information" about a product. Free give-aways (such as iTunes) provide the opportunity for an organization give us more information about their product in the same way. (since because of the promotion, they now have our contact information)

Agreed - you'll want to do it alongside something more interesting, as it takes a long time to complete a course (but very worthwhile for kids to do, as the courses give sensible advice). It worked. Thank you for the advice in the above posts ;)

I respect your right to rant, but disagree with you. All of the "merchants" that post these offers do so to draw an audience. I know that merchants would be a LOT happier if everyone who took advantage of their "specials", or "loss leaders" would buy lots more (or enlist), but that isn't a realistic expectation.
The National Guard site had every right to limit the age of people that could participate in their offer, but they chose not to. I used my true bithdate, and they still sent the code. Enough said.

Try not to buy music from iTune. it can only be used for Apple devices and cannot be converted to WAV or MP3.

Buy the music from other sites in MP3 or rm, you can convert to iPod while still retain the ability to write in the form of CD, MP3 player etc.

Also, not to purchase from Verizon, they have build in tracker and also disable your MP3 player.

If you did all of the courses, I'm guessing most rewards were 1 itune, with a few 2xs and the 5x reward. The 'buying a car' would be worthwhile at 5 itunes, and so far the rest have just been 1 per course. The Save & Invest Short Term (1x) was okay while the Balance a checking account course took seemingly twice as long for the same reward.
The above two courses are only recommended if you are patient and don't mind the time to complete :)

Chiquita now has a free itune promotion that is attached to some of thier prepared apple packages in the fresh fruit section at the grocery store. On the outside of the package is a sticker that has the possibility of a free itunes code. good-luck. (the apples are yummy too).

I've had this message but most of the time if you can get back to the very last page and try again (e.g. gti.cuna.org/...21.swf) you can often get it to work. If you've registered once then use the registered e-mail/password on the right, or try the very last quiz page again for another chance to register.

eMusic.com is offering 50 free songs in 2 weeks just for trying their subscription service. There is excellent selection in Jazz, Classical, Electronic, etc. They do have some really big name artists.

Just cancel before your 2 weeks are up to avoid paying the monthly subscription.

You have to take a boring 10-15 minute course and at the end you get a certificate with a code for a free itune song. there are about 10 courses and you can do them all if you wish and you get a new code for each course. Very boring but free music is free music

Well. I registered with Wells Fargo and later received an e-mail requesting that I validate my e-mail address. I clicked on the link and was redirected to actionurl.com - a site I had never seen before...

I cleared the browser cache. I ran Spybot and Ad-Aware (since it had been a while anyway). I then tried the link again in IE (first time was Firefox). I got the same result.

I was never implying that people should avoid taking iTunes to preclude the phone calls (National Guard). To me, enlisting in this offer with no underlying interest seems unethical and essentially equates to stealing.

The OP seemed to suggest using a phone number other than a �real� one. I just think that this is overstepping boundaries of what should be considered fair play for lack of a better term.

I thought the quiz was once per e-mail address; did you really use ten different e-mails? ;) I found most questions were straighforward enough...

The other thing I found was that unlike in Australia, US drivers seem to indicate only when they feel they have to (maybe 10% of the time). I had a near miss when returning my rental at the LAX rental depot! However drivers are more relaxed (less tailgating etc) than Ireland :D
